I just said becuase everyone have only 3 invites to send. I am done with mine long time ago. So, I just inform him, that if one needs in hurry then it can quickly purchased rather than wait.

of course you can save those 3 bucks in few days saving on your cell min.

I am using the same skills, same personal qualities and still having same breath but having very successful life in USA. gr8 job and everything.

But again, I pray for you to be on those 2% and not in 98%

good luck man..

Topic: Google Voice , how good it is.

I have tmobile with myfav. where G V# listed as myfav.

My current min limit is 300. I hardly use 20-30 min every month. all calls come through GV (about 3000 min). so technically I am paying less than $30.00 for the cell phone for unlimited calls.
Not sure what you mean by don't get full feature, I only loose the CID missing on my phone, but thats only I can't see the caller id, I do have listen IN on, so I always knows who is calling and what to do with the call i.e. send it to voice mail or attend.

I also have gizmo account hooked up with my GV so thats my home line.

Gr8 voicemail transcript option, searchable voicemails. International calls rates are very low compare to all calling cards. and someone also said that the rate starts as soon as you dial that is wrong.
The call rate starts only once phone picked up. even if someone pickup the phone and you disconnect the call you can still goto the refund website and have that amount refunded without any approval,. thats instant refund.

When calls comes in it ring on my cell phone as well as home. if I pick up and calls needs to go home, the call transfer is also quick and quite...

the list is keep goes on and on....

just ask and I will try to answer.
HTH

in addition to that...

People who are coming new to the country don't get fooled when they say Heatlcare is free.

It is not. You will get access to a Doctor or a Specialist but what people never say is that you need to pay for your medications. Govt does not pay for it.
Unless you are employed and have a insurance plan or buy your own you will have to pay for your medication.
Medication in North America is quite expensive.

I don't get it when people say "Healthcare: Much better then other places we have lived in and according to me its good."

What is the point going to a Doctor if you can't pay for the medication.

Look at UK / Europe they pay for everthing even the medication whether you are employed or not. You dont need to pay for it. That is called a good heatlcare system.

I am not saying Canada is a bad place but people who come here new get fooled by what all is made public.

Just for everyone knowledge -
There were 65,440 active physicians in Canada in 2008, up from 60,612 in 2004, according to the study.
and the population increased by 5Million. Think about the ever increasing wait times.
http://news.therecord.com/article/635372

The Point is that the govt is not investing at a proportial rate in the medical system as compared to the rise in population. The system was already over burdened and is more stressed than ever before.

Topic: Google Voice , how good it is.

not sure why you said it was buggy in the beginning when you never even use it.

I am using this even before GV launched (It was GC [Grand Central] before) so its couple of years. Once google Took over Grand Central it is even more robust now.

I am using Google Voice as my home phone and cell phone. and it is amazing.

ask if there are any specific questions you have in your mind.

Topic: Moved to Canada. Thank you Trackitt.

I was keep reading and just couldn't resist to reply here for few things.

rizi39:
Sending passport to a different country is not a crime: it vary by country. If Indian govt. says that its not legal then only Indian passport sending by mail would be crime.

I just renewed my passport by mail. they dont' issue passports anywhere else other than their own country. so we mailed our current passports along with the application and they issue new passports and mailed us back the new and old both. so thats for sure that all passports are not crime to send by mail.

In regards to get Canadian immigration I got this from another forum and I am 110% agree whatever he said. I migrated to Canada 10 years ago and as soon as I got a chance I moved to USA:-

My opinion ....
I came to Canada by looking at free education and free health care and I overlooked one main point.... job. I never thought that it is very very difficult to get a decent job without referrals or any relatives here. Above all, your skin colour plays very imp. role. Employers say you are over qualified for jobs (they don't want to give it to you- an excuse).

Health care sucks. One of my friend's son was 2 yrs old and operated for a kidney problem and expired after that. My neighbour died of cancer due to late diagnosis and expired within a week. My co-worker was operated for some intestinal problem and was wrongly packed after operation. He has to go to India to rectify that. Dental costs will kill you finally. It is purely your luck to be in the hands of a good doctor here.

Education free until grade 12 and after that every one has to take loans which has to be paid back until you retire.

Weather- no out door life in winters. You have to live like in jail for 8 months. Thats why people here suffer from cancer more as they live in closed air tight indoors.

Family time - absolutely no. Always life is tense. No job security. If you work, your wife will be at home and vice versa. Both can't spend time together most of the time.

Going back to school - No guarantee of getting a job and you loose even labour job income over top of it. Employers say the school, where you got education is not good and they prefer Harvard education ( I mean the best school on the earth) even for a small office job and local gets the same job not even with grade 12 education.

The list goes on. Overall in my personal opinion, if any body has a decent job back home or any where else.... Stay there.

What I see this is if you know for sure that you will eventually get the GC stay in USA no matter how long it will take,. It will worth on a long run.....

Hope that helps.

Topic: US green card holder and holds Canadian immigrant visa as well

1. No red flag, How can someone predict that how long you will live. its a red flag when he see that you live in Canada more than you live in USA from the past history, but they can't just predict that you got the Canadian immigration and you will live there, if even they asks you can answer that you have a plan to live in USA and not in Canada.
Again you can have legal document to live and work on 2 countries but you become PR once you live on that land for 180 days.

2. chances to get US green card revoked are close to nill. it only happened when they find out that you are living outside USA more than you lived in USA.

3. I would still say that don't give up. keep it you may need it later...

Topic: Options against a non Paying Employer

GC cann't be revoked once approved except if there is a fraud involved.

don't fear from him. Try to communicate through letter or email. don't talk verbally etc.

the good option for you is to pay $9.00 and get the answer from lawyer as someone suggested earlier.

and don't worry if everything is set then employer can't revoke your GC in anyway.

chilll

Topic: Foreclosure and effect on green card

not really an expert but will try to answer your questions..

- will foreclosure affect green card application?
I DON'T THINK SO, THIS IS NOT CRIMINAL OFFENSE

- will it affect our chances of sponsoring our parent's visas or bringing them here for a visit?
I DON'T THINK SO AS YOU DON'T SEND YOUR CREDIT REPORT FOR VISA OFFICER'S REVIEW.

- will it affect employment opportunities?
YES, IF THEY DO BACKGROUND CHECK AND CREDIT CHECK (SOME JOBS DOES REQUIRE THAT)

- how much reduction on credit score? (All other bills ok, good credit score currently).
IT WILL PUSH YOUR SCORE IN BETWEEN 550-600 (THATS MY GUESS NOT SURE THOUGH)

hope that helps
