They didn't send me the forms to carry when they sent the appointment confirmation. So I am going to fill up and keep with me the following, whichever they say they need:
1. VAF9 (Also VAF9A and 9B flavours)
2. VAF2 (I know its outdated, but just in case...)
3. Integra
I got these forms from one of these discussion forums. Hope it works.

I have got all my documents ready for EC but unfortunately the appointment that I got from VFS is almost after 2 weeks.
I can't wait until then due to the 7 days restriction on bank statements.
Any idea if I can walk-in to VFS on a prior date?

Could anyone please tell me how many days after we send the email to VFS do we get the appointment?
Now that fund maintenance rules are strict and we need to apply within 7 days from the last date in the bank statement just wondering how sooner will we get the appointment.

Vikas,
I just called up VFS (080-40084008) and asked whether old rules or new rules apply.
The helpdesk exec told me that if I am applying for EC after April 1 I need to use the Tier-1 form with all the supporting docs .(the ones that we submitted to get approval + latest bank and sal slips-12 months + Maintenance proof + approval letter)
However she told me that we can apply through VFS. So I am confused again...
But the lady who answered my call didn't seem to be confident in her aswers.
How do we confirm this then?

In my own efforts to find answers to those questions I came acroos the following link:

Please see point#55 uner section 245G Documentary evidence.
It states points will only be awarded if an applicant:
(a) applying for entry clearance, has the level of funds equal to 2800# in the table below and provides
the specified documents, or
(b) applying for leave to remain, has the level of funds equal to 800# and provides
the specified documents.
Please add as much information as you can.

Hi All,
I am starting this thread for all those who got their approval letters before April 1 and want to apply for EC to discuss/calrify the following:
1. Where to send the form? (VFS or UK HO)
2. What docs to send? Do we need to send all the docs that we already submitted for HSMP approval?
3. What details to be filled/omitted in the Tier-1 form?
4. How much should be the amount in Maintenance? 800 or 2800 gbp?
All those experts out there, please help us clarify these!

I am also planning to apply for EC after April 2008 and have a few questions.
1. Do we need to send the Tier-1 application along with all the supporting documents that we have submitted while getting the approval letter again back to UK? I am confused as the 'Where to send app' link shows UK address.
2. If so, do we need to get a fresh set of sal slips and bank statements (12 months) in addition to the EC evidenvces?
3. Is the new limit for maintenance reduced to 800 pounds as comparesd to 3k pounds before?
4. Can we use fixed deposit statements for this purpose?
An early reply would be greatly appreciated.
