How can i proceed on this. Like can i do this by myself or look for a consulting company which will definitely be out of my budget. How can i start looking for a job offer. I also have another child in 8th now and should at least do something now. looks like this country will not do anything for me. From my side I am being a good citizen paying all my taxes and legally working here and law abiding etc. Any advice on this is greatly appreciated.

I would have done that if it was possible. But I have a 3 year degree. Should I start Masters here and work or get ready to send my son to college. Also the past 10 years I have been surviving on pay check to pay check sometimes couple hundred bucks short due to health insurance and car insurance as my son is 18 now and the insurance is exactly double of what i was paying for me and my husband. i don't know if anybody else is in this situation. Maybe I should have thought about Canada some time back. If it is still not too late is there anyway I can start thinking about Canada and any guidance is greatly appreciated. Like how to proceed and look for a job offer.

Guys any idea what will happen to our aging out children. My son is 18+ now though living in this country since he is 8 Years. What will happen to them. Since my PD is Oct 2007 EB3 I I don't see any solution for my position. Now that he is ready to go to college he is not entitled to any kind of aid or loans. Not even any kind of bank loans as he is not having an SSN. Is there anything this govt can do for our aging out children. I live close by DC Metro area and am ready to volunteer for our benefit. my spouse who is on H4 and my son will participate. Since I am the only one earning and have to maintain the status of H1 here I will have to go to work every single day. Even for H4 EAD our children have been left out. Kindly include my kind of childern in this.

I am also traveling in the same boat. My son is 18+ now currently on H4. I do not know what will happen to him.
But i do not want him to go thru the same pain that I am going thru. I am having anxiety attacks. God alone can
save us.

Topic: EAD for H4 Kids

Hi Peddu,

Totally understand your situation as i am also in the same. Day by day I am getting depressed and
though my son is not interested in the IT area i am encouraging him to do something closer to this
area as eventually once he ages out of H4 then he can go on F1 and then OPT and look for a job
in IT industry so that he can get H1 sponsorship. At least he is aware of the aging out scenario.
I do not know much about Undergrad or Masters
here but this is how i feel. With this he says we should better move to Canada where education is
cheaper. Even that maybe i should have done by last year at the least so that he can study his
undergrad and Masters there. Since my daughter is a citizen of NZ she will have no issues moving to
Canada. I am completely in a dilemma. All these issues on one side and another is that my husband is
on H4 where he cannot work and earn so that we can send our son to college here doesn't matter the
fees. He is not into IT industry hence could not get his H1 done. Due to all these I am having anxiety
attacks and insomnia. Here the doctors usually do not prescribe medication for sleep but my doctor did
that's how bad my situation is.
There isn't anything i can do other than sympathize with you as we both are in a similar situation.
Good Luck to you and the rest of the families like us.

Thanks.

I don't think there is any group or organization working towards this cause. I had searched up the internet
and stumbled upon H4EAD for spouse and was following this thread. & Participating silently.

Thanks Buzzinga for starting this new thread for H4 Kids. This is my story and I am ready to contribute in my
capacity to achieve this. All my tweets I add "include aging out Kids of H1 holders who are on H4"

I am on H1 for 10+ yrs now. My husband and 2 kids are on H4. Since my husband is not into IT we could not get the H1 done for him initially. Now even if we want to it’s not possible due to the lottery and he needs to learn from scratch in IT doesn't matter even in Testing/QA. Past few years just flew by trying to fit into a job which was not my area before coming here. By God's Grace we are able to survive as of today. Now my older child son is 18+ a senior in HS. He is ready to go to college for undergrad and scored decent marks on SAT. He has applied to about 5 colleges he was accepted into 4 and 1 not accepted. Out of the 4 colleges except 1 college rest 3 treated him as a international student as he is not having an SSN. No option but to send him to that 1 college where he is accepted but again as we are on H1 & H4 we are not entitled for any kind of financial aid.

As all of you know the GC backlogs it would be very helpful for my family if H4EAD is included for aging out children.

I see my son and eventually my daughter going thru the same pain I am going thru now.

Just a suggestion if aging out kids are included in EAD for H4.

I have not posted anything until now but participating in tweeting and emails etc.

Thanks.

First of all I would like to thank all the great people here who have put in their time for this cause of the H1 families.
I appreciate that person who started this thread and also not to mention the famous five who took the pain to go to the meeting with OMB last week in DC & rest of all the people putting things together including tweeting, e mailing etc,.
