Topic: H1B extensions get much harder

I got RFE on my H1 transfer. It was from full time to another full time, nearly 10yrs here.

They want to verify if its H1 speciality occupation or not.

Topic: H1 relocating to CA, H4's not

I am on H1 with an approved I 140. I got an opportunity in CA and will be relocating soon to CA from OR. Due to high costs in CA and personal reasons my wife and kids(H4's) are currently not moving to CA. They will stay back in OR. I will be visiting them occasionally. Do you guys think I will have any issues from immigration perspective? Or anything which I should be concerned about?

My I-140 was PP and similar to your case. I didn't get any RFE.

Topic: Wait for EO or move-on ?

Similar situation here. Two I-140's approved. Looks like I have to get a third one now. Current job is unstable and I am trying for another job. I will take it if I get a good offer. Can't rely/wait for EO's. Not sure how that process will take and let opportunities go by.

But that changes with new EO!!We don't have to file for new GC process with the new employer any more. Isnt it that way?

But I don't think we have to go through the PERM process again after we get an I-140 approved.

I have submitted to renew my kid's indian passport at SFO. It might take 4-6 weeks to get it back. I have the photocopies of her passport.

Do you guys think I will need the indian PP now for filing I-485?

I am not sure if EO comes next week. But I am sure that we will definitely score century on this topic, again like last year.

If EO happens with something for legal, what will be the timeframe? When will it come to effect?
