1. 6 months before the expiry date
2. Yes. Both I-539 and I-765 can be filed concurrently.

I am also ready to help in their efforts. I don't have any grudges against IV. I just don't like how they treat other people. Being a big organisation, they should understand others interests, efforts and emotions. That's my point.

They are sending the thank you notes and tweets. Even i am doing the same. And they are ready to help for I-140 EAD issue also.

I was harsh to IV because of their behavior with the H4 visa holders. They hurt them openly in the public forum. Now they should not ask their help for their own marketing tactics. That is my point.

We all support for I-140 EAD wholeheartedly like we did for H4EAD.

My friend, i have one question where you have been when all this H4 visa holders were so frustrated? i didn't see any post from you at that time. Now you are posting your tweets each page. How can you ask the people who you mentioned as "BLOOK SUCKING LEECHES" to tweet? and more importantly, they are doing their thank you notes part. So you don't need to mention it now again and again.

THEY KNOW HOW TO SAY THANKS TO USCIS AND WHITEHOUSE. BECAUSE THEY ARE ONLY TH MOST BENEFICIARY BY THIS RULE AND THEY ARE DOING IT WHOLEHEARTEDLY.

This is purely my personal opinion. I am not anti-IV or Pro-IV. And most importantly i don't want to start argue. Following messages are posted in IV forums about Twitter Campaigns.

"First of all posting on Twitter is NEITHER advocacy nor a campaign. But it sure is waste of whole lot of time. If things would happen just by posting on twitter and FB then Washington DC would be a dead town, everyone would just sit at home to tweet and click FB like button. And no one would have to do anything else. So please don't get mired into false narrative by using phrases like "Twitter campaign" or "Facebook Advocacy", these are oxymorons.

Every tool has its relevance. The primary relevance of Twitter and FB is to create awareness for organizing grassroots to participate in REAL ADVOCACY. If you are unable to convert social media into real action then its waste of time. When social media engages in grassroots to participate in REAL ADVOCACY, go to Washington, find a champion for a cause, create a bi-partisan agreement, get support from other groups (which is hugely important), shop for cosponsors, do the same thing in the other chamber of Congress (Senate/House), get committee leadership onboard, get majority party onboard to bring the bill for vote, get the support of minority, then and only then the bill can pass. It will take time, because in any democratic process it takes time. But if people think an issue is important and thus they are able to endure the process, then eventually things will happen because the system actually works. There are no shortcuts and posting on twitter and clicking like button on FB might be easy, but it is the biggest waste of time if it cannot translate into real daily action on the ground.

Even when working on any idea with the administration, like any Admin Fix, it never ever happens in 1-2 meetings things start to roll. One has to go time and again, advocate for the position, presenting different arguments, responding to their questions, providing data to support your arguments. Creating some FB page, talking with each other, patting each others back but with no added real action on the ground, or, posting on twitter and re-tweeting over and over again, all that is waste of time if it is not timed and coordinated with frequent real action on the ground. That is the reason we keep requesting members to stop wasting time in online forums and call your local Senator/Congressman office to setup a meeting. Or, come to Washington to meet with your Members of Congress.

BTW, what twitter post are you talking about? Who is posting it, where?"

"No, we do not believe in those twitter campaigns. What we believe in, we just did last couple of days from Feb 8-10, advocacy event in DC"

Some of the members of the IV also mentioned that H4 visa holders are self fish people and they don't know anything by sitting within the four walls.

So they clearly mentioned that they believed in advocacy events happened on Feb 8-10.

Then why now twitter?? Why asking help from those self fish peoples who are sitting within the four walls?

You didn't understand the feelings of them before. Now they will think like anything to help you.

And lastly, they are not self fish. They are sending their thank you notes daily to the white house people.

THEY ARE NOT BLOOD SUCKING LEECHES.

Sometimes I wonder about the general IQ of people.
So many stupid and repeated questions. Sigh.

I am wondering what USCIS folks will be thinking about the IQ of skilled immigrants :)

IQ of "Highly Skilled Immigrants" :)

I think Getting SSN wont be a big problem after we got EAD in hand. We can go to SSN office and apply for it.

I dont think we need a job offer to get a Interim EAD. Following is the extract from the USCIS website

"When am I eligible for an Interim Employment Authorization Document (EAD)?
If USCIS does not make a decision on your I-765 within 90 days, (30 days for Asylum applicants), you may request an Interim EAD. The interim EAD can be granted for a period up to 240 days."

And one more thing, USCIS is a Govt agency and they will surely have the plan to expedite the process of 180Ks H4 visa holders applications within the time frame.

As Anibran said, we waited for 4 years, can't we wait for another 3 months? In this months, we can brush up our skills (because lot of H4 visa holders didn't go to work for 5-10 years). Hope this clarifies.

Dave, first understand that USCIS never do PP for H4 EAD. If they have to, they have to do for all EADs. If they do for H4 EAD alone, it is a biased one.

For your concern, we can ask USCIS whether we are eligible to get Interim EAD.
