You can speculate all you want , but the fact is nobody talking about it . Only tho is sen Cotton is part of that discussion , he merrit based immigration bill. Frankly there is no incentive for them to fix EB immigration.

None of the news bites or the senators talked about employment based legal immigration, it’s all about DACA, Wall, DV and chain immigration

Topic: H1b AC21 Cancellation: Trump's Nuclear option

I believe they are testing the waters, it will be very difficult to just interpret the language , it will be overruled by the intent of the law and the practice DHS followed from day 1. It cannot be done easily even if it is done there will be several legal battles. If they clear the backlog and have some transition period, it is possible.AC21 and GC go hand in hand at least for Indians , this basically means no GC for EB2 and EB3 Indians. It is difficult to just stop AC21 without doing anything to the backlog.

To be frank this is welcome change , at least u know upfront what u r getting into. Better than stuck in this limbo where spouse cannot work and you spend your entire productive adult life in uncertainty with GC citizenship, not buying home , not visiting India and all the other hardships.

They should also not collect SSN, Medicare,Medicaid for 3 or 6 year H1B term. Youngsters should come early earn for 6 years , not invest here and go back with savings and knowledge. If there is no GC, F1 population should also drop dramatically.

The only concern is guys who are already stuck should be treated fairly.

Interesting article , seems bit biased, does give picture on other side(living in India)

Topic: H4 EAD repeal process

IV predicts that's H4EAD will be gone , does anyone know the repeal process?
1. Do they have to create a new rule to repeal the existing one and will it go through the same steps of rule making?
2. Can the court withdraw the rule effective immediate or will the EAD be valid till the expiry date
3. Same for the administration, with repeal can they invalidate EAD immediately when the rule becomes active?

Topic: Today's Stats from DOL

Someone posted this earlier somewhere in this thread .. here you go
to VM0410:

Thank you so much VM0410. :) Sure, i will do it.

Each and every approved perm application stored in database has an unique id. The below link is valid to view each and every approved perm application if we know that unique id which we call that as internalid (replace "" to an equivalent id number).

https://icert.doleta.gov/index.cfm?event=ehLCJRE...=

Here is the method to find out the internal id which we got it from other thread.

How to find out your current PERM status.

OK, let say your A number is A14281-12345

1. Find an approved case with an A number close to yours (I use DolStats.com).
2. If the number found is smaller e.g. A14281-12340 then subtract this number (last 5 digits) from yours and you get +5. If the number found is larger e.g. A14281-12349 then subtracting this number from yours you get -4
3. Click the the iCert link for the case you found in step 2 and view the case details.
4. Edit the URL. The last ID in the url is some internal ID used for the PERM cases but it is sequential. So your 'internal' case number is this ID number plus/minus the value you calculated in step 2.

If you see a bank case with no data or default values it means your case hasn't been processed yet.
If you see a case with correct values it means you case has been processed. Now, if you can also see your case in PermTracker.com or DolStats.com then your case has been approved. If you cannot find your case then it has been denied or sent to audit
