Topic: I-140 EAD approved by OMB

I was on the call and he said rule will be out soon but not coming week ore week after that. he did not mention several weeks. Wonder were Oh law got that from. As far as my guess goes I think it may be end of June. I have a feeling that they must be making a few changes to the rule coz its taking them this much time. If the rule were to publish as is they couldn't be taking this long to publish it after comments period. I sure think something is cooking up either to make our lives easy or difficult..

I have a feeling they may be doing a few changes to the rule considering it's taking them this long to put the rule out after public comments. If they were to keep it as is, why would they take so long to publish it. Something definitely is cooking.

Topic: Regarding Mastercard International Greencard policy

Hi,

I know I am not answering any of your question. You said you work for JPMC rite now. Actually I had a question for you regarding JPMC interview process. I had given an interview with JP two and a half weeks back, this was the second round and I haven't heard from them yet. I emailed the person concerned but no reply. Is it too late for me to expect anything from them or is it a normal process for them to get back late? I'm just curious and do not want to bug the HR with sending too many emails. Also, if am not selected will they tell me or they will just leave it at that? Will await your reply. TIA

Cross chargability does not take into account the country of citizenship. It is upon country of birth. So if u are an Indian citizen born in Middle East then you are eligible for cross chargability but if you are an Australian citizen but born in India you do not qualify.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to know what kind of salary to expect for an entry level job both hourly and annually. When I get calls the recruiters first ask me what salary am I expecting and I have no clue what to say. I live in Illinois

Topic: Justifying gap due to H4 visa

I have explained all the above points and I do it to everyone who calls me and asks me about it. I have a cover letter too that clearly tells the recruiters why I have a gap and what productive work I have done while I was not working (courses, certifications, volunteer service). But that's not enough according to them. What more can I say. I have a 7 year gap and I am looking at Communications and Marketing role. She called me back this morning and told I did not get the job because there was a recent graduate with an internship experience. She told me that it was not me and that she was very impressed by the way I presented myself but because of the gap I could not compete with the recent graduate. Anyway there is no use cribbing about it. I am moving on from this and trying for something else. Hope I get through someday.

Topic: Justifying gap due to H4 visa

So today I had a very good interview with a Fortune 500 company. The interviewer was very impressed with me and she loved everything she heard I said. She told me to look forward to an email for the next round but now I get an email from her about how my gap in employment can be a problem. She asked Ned if I can justify my gap. I meantioned to her all the volunteer service I did and also the courses I did. But she says it's not enough and I need to show something more. I definitely know she is not talking about fake experience. She is an American and wants to know more.. What more can I tell her when I have told her everything I had to say. I'd be bummed if I have to loose this opportunity because of a gap. Looks like it's heading that ways any way. It's depressing :(

Topic: H4 Life After getting EAD

I have been looking for a job for 2 months now and yet no luck. I am in Non IT so the struggle is real. I got one job offer but the salary was way low. I have 2 kids and that would amount to huge daycare fee and at the end of the day I would be spending more than what I would be making so I decided to pass on that opportunity.

Its sad but true that people put fake experience. I have had friends who got jobs and when I asked them how did they manage they said that I will have to put at least 2 years of fake experience. I am not the one who is confident with that as the interviewer will know that I have faked it. but how do these guys do it: one is they belong to a certain community, second they apply for jobs that their spouses are in and get help from them to finish their jobs.

Now my question is how are we people who do not put fake experience get a job? At least 90% of them are faking it and are getting jobs and the once who are not are getting disappointed. Many of my friends said tell the truth that you have a gap and you stayed home to take care of kids, employer will understand. To be honest, they don't! So what next?

Yes this is very impt.. There are people who had to leave the company because the company had to close or the employer changed his business.. Also when companies merge they have to start GC all over again. Many people have changed their jobs after waiting with a single employer for decades but changed it coz they could not see any relief in sight. It will help all these people. It's gonna be unfair on these people if previous employer I140 is not considered! El

I usually don't go about talking about any organization or lawyer coz we are all in this struggle together. But now I am fedup of IV language. I just went to their form and saw people talking trash (when I say trash I mean literal trash) about people. It's disgusting to say the least. And now this job mobility and job portability drama. Ok I get it.. But all this while people on IV form have been talking about job PORTIBILITY and not one people on that form corrected and said its job mobility and we need to fight for mobility and not PORTIBILITY. But now that this regulation is out and mentions PORTIBILITY they just jump on this mobility bandwagon. Just coz AILA (not supporting any organization again) put out the word PORTIBILITY in their news letter!. Y the need to clarify the language now? Y wasn't this done before when people kept saying AC21 is all about portability?? If this was clarified before ppl would have used the right words in campaigns. I don't get it, really!!

I know.. I hope so too.. Looks like it's only for illegals so still have hopes for legals.. And I hope it's just for legals coz if illegals are involved they will drag it to court and it will be stuck forever.

He mentioned saying that Grassley and sessions are trying to derail i140 EAD.. Tho many people did not believe him.. But this letter puts things in perspective. I just hope this does not delay or derail the rule for the legal community.

Did IV mention this anywhere that i140 rule has been put off.. Last time I knew when Aman asked Kevin regarding the rule he said it will be published soon and will be open to comments. Am I missing something?

So Greg was right on what he tweeted about Grassley and Sessions.. Hmm.. This is getting interesting. The questions are more for the illegal folks. I hope this does not hinder the rule! Also, I guess it was a big mistake on IV to circulate that memo.. It has gained widespread publicity causing anti immigrant groups to derail the proposed regulation. I hope I am wrong. Please don't bash me.. It's just my view!
