Topic: got a letter from the congressman
I sent an inquiry regarding my case to the congressman 2~3 weeks ago
and today I got a response.
(My case was interviewed back in April,2007 in Washington USCIS)
It reads :

Officials at the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services advise me that your
case is awaiting an available visa number. At this time, all employment based visas are unavailable for the
3rd preference under which your application falls.
...
Does this mean I have a chance of being approved in October ?
I am not 100% sure how this whole visa bulletin and visa number availability works... |

I tried to fax some documents to TSC for last few days and couldn't get through...
Tried from very early morning to late night over 100 times and I kept getting busy signal.
What's going on with their fax machine??

Topic: waited fifteen months after the interview ...
My whole family did the interview back in April, 2007.
It took place in Washington field office and the officer requested more evidence.
( She asked A LOT of questions... )
So we sent them in June, 2007 and never heard anything since then.
I've seen many people not getting any reponses after the interview but not for this long.
Two months ago when we visited USCIS office, I/O said she is going to make the decision that week
but did not hear anything for a month.
...We went back last month she said she is still cheking on "SOMETHNG".
Feel like I'm getting fooled...
They told me to come back in a month if I don't hear anything again
and I heard that more than 5 times this time around.
My grandma really misses me and my brother and I'm going crazy.
It breaks my heart to hear her sad voice over the phone.
What is taking so long!?
