Topic: 4 wives and GC

MrGC - same time not allowed. How inquisitive people can be :)
I believe H1 'could' be possible, but definitely not the green card. There is a question that asks if you intend to practice polygamy. The wording is practice, not believe. Please consult a lawyer. You friend is trying to immigrate here, they will deny his petition. (unless ofcourse he is a King from certain oil rich country and then the Department of State can relax the regulations). Would you like gas at $10 a gallon ?

why same time not allowed?! I think it should be allowed

Nabeel1 ,
I still did not get a clarification from you (just out of interest). why same time not allowed?

metr5550,

This may sound absurd to you but here is what i think is the answer to your question.."modesty"

The definition and meaning of modesty might differ from person to person.

The person is required to be modest and is prohibited from practising the act with all the spouses at the same time..
Not only that..but a monogomous person is also required to be modest with his spouse...

I know this would open the floodgate for people who want to ridicule me..

No offence is intended in this post..take it easy..

Topic: 4 wives and GC

BTW, it is a made up post. There is no person with 4 wives who wants to immigrate. It's all a joke.

I agree with russianninja on this
This is not the first time that an imposter adopts name belonging to a particular religion or country and starts a topic that allows others to fight about
IqbalBHAI and Albania doesn't seem right

Take it easy

Topic: 4 wives and GC

Advise the guy for the question he asked..whether his friend can immigrate to US with his 4 wives or not? simple..

Him having 4 wives is non of our business..There is no need for sarcasm or ridiculing his situation here..

Look into the mirror before pointing out finger at other's traditions and beliefs..

give respect and take respect..

Take it easy

Topic: Doing medical prior to the official request

I would recommend you to wait until the CIC asks you for medical
couple of reasons
1) You will need the medical form sent by CIC..there are cases where I heard that you can go to the medicals and the medical center will provide you with a form over there
2) Your medicals will be valid for a period of 1 year..The date of expiration on the canadian visa is the date the medicals expire

say you got your medicals done today 11/13/2008 the the medicals will expire 11/12/2009 and for example the CIC took some time to process your application and approved it on 10/12/2008.. The visa they will provide you for landing will be valid until 11/12/2009..so you may have only 1 month to complete your landing process..

the dates i used are hypothetical and are just an example..

good luck

Topic: Indian consulate at Houston

I had earlier applied for 'Expedited' passport renewal at the Indian consulate in Washington DC..
paid an additional $100..the passport was sent in about 45 days..and did not get the expedited fees back either..
No response to numerous phone calls, emails and messages submitted on their website

What I heard from others is either you go to the consulate personally and speak to the concerned authorities..provided if it is not too far for you..or you may ask a friend or relative to check with them..

good luck

Topic: Letter to Barack Obama - Appeal for all Indian Immigrants to USA

Pending forever

Is that question directed to me or the author of this thread? If it is for me then I am not the one advocating this..
I was just trying to discourage it in a humorous way..

Thanks

Topic: Letter to Barack Obama - Appeal for all Indian Immigrants to USA

I am glad you took it with a sense of humor..
I am not against the idea that "OUR" situation needs some attention and the process should be made faster and effecient..
That beng said, I was just trying to bring to your attention that you cannot just ask for speeding up the applications for people of Indian origin..
highlighting the contributions and achievements of Indians alone is taking away the credit from the other nationals who have contributed equally to this society.
