Topic: Validity period of Confirmation of Permanent Residence

I got my Canadian PR approved in May 2008, landed in Canada in July 2008, applied for PR card and returned back to the US.

As per my understanding, I can land in Canada again by road just with the copy of COPR. But my COPR is valid only till Nov 2009 (same as the expiry date as my passport). Does that mean that i can't use COPR to enter Canada by land after Nov 2009. Do I need a travel document to enter after Nov 2009?

Correct. But I'm sure you will have your PR card by Nov 2008 (u meant Nov 2008, not 2009 I'm assuming).

Topic: How to Check if my Medicals reached Canada (Ottawa)

Typically (at least in US/Canada), your doctor will provide you with a tracking number free of cost.

e-CAS will get updated once your medicals are received at CIC.

Topic: part-time work experience or internships count?

Work experience must be:
1) Full-time and
2) Paid

If it's part-time, then you can tally up the total number of hours worked. Full-time internship will count only if it's paid and you can produce a letter stating that.

Topic: Funds availability

Having more than the required amount of funds will NOT speed up your case. Neither will it "help" you in any way if you do not meet the required 67-point minimum.

Topic: what does the medical involve

If you're in Toronto, complete adult medical test costs around $200.
