Topic: RFE on I-140

i know it must be a frustrating time - but try to get hold of someone in HR or go take an appointment in person - you will need letters on company letter head. I got a similar RFE and i had originally submitted reference letters from ex - colleagues who no longer work with the company. I had to get hold of the CEO who was out of country and get a letter on letter head...anyone who is still in the company can give u a letter - stating the time you worked there and the kind of work you did there to the best of their knowledge

all the best

I did the porting while applying for the current I140 - they have guidelines when doing porting..my understanding is that it has to be done when applying for the second I140 -

my lawyer prepared an additional letter which he printed in a colored paper so that it was obvious and highlighted my older PD

hope this helps..

Topic: EB2 - I140 pending for a long time

many folks have contacted their local representatives ( congressman) with their immigration issue - they usually expedite your case...it is worth a try - see the following links
https://forms.house.gov/wyr/welcome.shtml

Receipt Number: XXX
Alien Number: XXX
Passport Number: XXX
Citizenship: XXX
Service Center: XX
Petitioner: XXX

There is no template. Just write a letter giving the dates of filing, which service center and provide the above details. A one line stating your concern is all they need. Typically all senators/congressmen have case workers, they look at Receipt number, send an email to congressional enquiries and get back to you within a week or so.

Subject: Follow up on Pending I-140 application – File Number

Respected Senator,

I, _________, have filed for my I-140 immigrant petition on _______. This case has been pending at the Nebraska Service Center, since they received, whereas the current processing dates are February 28, 2007. As per the response from the USCIS, I was notified that the case has been adjudicated to an officer and they would make a decision within 30-60 days. I just wanted to bring to your attention that the timeframe has way past the duration and there have been no updates on my case since then. I have also put 3 service requests since July 2007, but no action has been taken on my case at all. I would really appreciate any help with this matter and if you could follow up on my case with the USCIS. I authorize your office in every possible way to get some updates on this case. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks a lot
