Topic: EB3 ROW Submitted April 06 - approved today

After a long wait, my I-140 was approved today. It was transferred from NSC to TSC after pending for 1 year, and was approved 08/08/08. Good luck to all of you.

Topic: TSC EB3 I-140 processing date changed to July 23, 2007

Can anyone provide any explanation for my situation? I applied in April 2007, my case was transferred from NSC to TSC in March 2008. Given that the processing dates are now 07/2007, then when should I expect my application to be processed?
thank you

Topic: June Processing Times are out for NSC

Xshao,
Where did you find the information about the processing dates for EB2 and EB3? Does USCIS distinguish between these dates on their processing announcements?

Topic: Stuck in security check?

How do you know you are stuck in name check? Did you receive notification? How does it work?

Topic: Information on transferred cases

I just spoke with a very nice USCIS employee about my case.
I-140 was transferred from Nebraska to TSC (original receipt date 04/2007)

She explained that overflow cases from NE cases that have been pending for too long (such as mine) are being transferred to TX to be worked on by specifically-assigned individuals.

The timeline to process these cases is typically less than 60 days. She also advised that this is a positive situation, and to keep an eye out for changing statuses soon.

She also mentioned that the ORIGINAL RECEIPT date is what drives the movement of files, therefore these cases do not go to "the back of the bus". This is contrary to what a lot of you have posted on the discussion.

Please look at this as a positive step for us all stuck in transfer limbo.

Topic: I-140 transferred from NE to TX, I-485 pending in TX

Thanks, paddyad

I will work in the same department, have the same function, but I will manage people on top of my responsibilities. This brings another question. Could I switch from EB3 to EB2?

This is just getting better and better.
Today I was offered a promotion. Do I need to notify USCIS? Does this mean I would have to obtain approval prior to taking the position?

Topic: Stuck in name check for more than 180 days with PD current - only at TSC

I am new to this tracker site, so forgive the newbie questions :-)
After the I-485 receipt notice, then come the fingerprints, and then I assume the name check?
How does one check the status of the name check?

thank you

cnstudd,
Thank you for replying, the whole process is extremely frustrating, to say the least.

I'm a Canadian citizen, but born in Romania. I applied under the EB3 category during the summer fiasco.

I assume TSC=Texas Service Center? What does IO stand for?

Your help is much appreciated
