Topic: Folks who are waiting after RFE response, gather here...
RFE received(just primary): 04/11 Hard Lud. Then 04/13 Soft LUD, Since then nothing happened until yesterday(11/19) when I got another SoftLUD just on primary(mine). Another SoftLUD today(11/20) again.
My senator sent an inquiry to TSC on my behalf a month ago. This might be because of that inquiry or FBI might have completed the name check on my case as per their goals set in April, 08 memo to complete all the name checks pending for more than a year by Nov. 30, 08.
I am hoping to get a decision (approval) soon. |

I got a soft LUD after more than seven months. Last month my senator office sent a letter to TSC and hasn’t yet received any response in reply.

It may be because of the name check clearance as per the goals set by FBI in April,08. memo that says “ all the name checks will be completed by 30th Nov. 08 which were pending for more than a year” |

If one is already roaming around freely in the country then whats the real purpose of those security checks. If some one is really a dangerous guy then FBI would definitely capture him and won't wait for the security checks to complete. Even if they issue a GC with pending security checks they can revoke that any time like 180 Name check rule. We have to push for that kind of solution or go for WOM.
On the other hand just for the formality: If they are waiting for our LOCAL THAANA REPORT ( LOCAL POLICE STATION) from our home town then there is no ending. :) you guys know that well..

Even if Security checks, name checks , finger prints and background checks are clear, even then USCIS might hold the case because of the security clearance. Please check the attached thread.
