Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

HEllo All,

I have been following this forum for quite some time now and this is my first post here. So, just like all of you, I'm also an EAD seeking H4 holder. Since last 6 months, I m planning to join school and change my visa status to F1, which will eventually help me work on CPT. However, due to the recent announcements, I got pretty hopeful that I should get EAD on H4 itself, due to which I kept deferring my school admission for last 2 semesters. But, I guess now I am only gonna wait till the end of Jan. If nothing happens by then, I am gonna apply for F1. If the rule gets published afterwards, that will be a bigger hassle for me, as I'll have to reapply to change my status. Besides, paying school tutions is not so easy with one person's salary. Any suggestions for my situation?

BTW... I have already done masters from US before on F1, worked on CPT and OPT for 2 yrs but never got H1 sponsorship, due to which I had to convert my status to H4. So, going back to school is neither a requirement, nor do I really want this. But desparately want to work. Currently, working as a volunteer.
