Hi Guys, I have an already scheduled important trip to Europe for 2 weeks in 4 days, and got card production email 2 days ago, tried to get to 551 stamp but they said I have to wait for the actual card, and can not use the AP..it looks my only option will be to have a friend fedex it to me to europe..Anybody with similar experience, thoughts? please share..i am very anxious about how this worked out to be!! |

Dear Friends,
After getting the GC, what needs to be done?
1) do we need to surrender the last I-94?
2) do we still need to inform INS when we change address?
3) do we need to give a copy to the employer?
4) when can you apply for citizenship?
5) Do we have to keep a record when we leave the country and come back?
6) does it affect the tax we pay in anyway?
7) do we need to inform the DMV?
Any other info will be great appreciated. Good luck to those waiting. |

Both of them were approved 3/27..no LUDs what so ever since the finger print in november for the 485 and the check for the 140 in october..a complete surprise..but a very good one :-) |

Hi guys, Today I received CRIS email that my card production was ordered. I have already made plans to go to Europe on 4/5 for a tour for 2 weeks, I was planning to use my AP..If I don't get the card before I travel, can I still use my AP to enter the country? What other options do I have?
