You raised a good question, we calculated our approval time based on tracker data, and it should be in this week, but we do use the Congressmen and Senator. I bet all effort worked out this solution, and we do appreciate the Congressman and Senator's help, they made you feel safe.

We search our local Congressman and Senator online, and normally they have personal website, and you can write a short letter request for help. Just fill the online form and leave your contact. The local office will call you back for more information and they are very kind and helpful. It is not new for them at all, so give them your reason for speed up, it should be a sound whatever reason. I hope this will help.

My wife and I got I-485 (EB1B) approval/card production email at 9:00 pm middle-time Nov. 14. This is a short journey and it took us two months and three weeks for 485 approvals. We got substantial helps from local Congressman and Senator for the speed up process after AP and EAD approval. --- I need a little time to rethink and plan our green life.
Good luck for you all!

Is anyone worried abou how to keep Legal Permanent Resident once you got GC sooner or later? It requires you stay at lease 6 months/year, and again the GC has the risk to be take away by an officer while you are at the point of entry.

Show:
What I did in 485 tracker is to sort the data based on EAD Approval date first, then scroll down to page three or four. You will find some highlighted rows which means 485 approved.

Be careful the column "totak time to get GC" and the column of "Time to get EAD approval", they are all counted on days. If you subtract the two columns for the same case, you will get the days from EAD to GC based on approval cases.

I normally hightlight the NSC or TSC cases seperately, that will give you some clue of your processing time.

It delivered to the mail box, I saw the mail delivery lady drop a bounch of mail into it and when she left, I picked it up, two Flat rate Priority mails which is bigger than regular envelops, with return service requested. Good luck.
I am surprised by mine, because the L2 officer told me my card is not created yet last Friday, and I guessed they would make it today and ship to me on Thursday. No time to call back for tracking number.

I have make a little diligence on tracker data, the analysis shows it will take on average 30 days from EAD/AP to I-485 approval. Quick ones took on 2 weeks, longer ones could be 80-100 days. Let's hope the best.

Important new USCIS announcement re AP and EAD

USCIS Update Feb. 11, 2011

USCIS to Issue Employment Authorization and

Advance Parole Card for Adjustment of Status Applicants

WASHINGTON—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) today announced that it is now issuing employment and travel authorization on a single card for certain applicants filing an Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Form I-485. This new card represents a significant improvement from the current practice of issuing paper Advance Parole documents.

The card looks similar to the current Employment Authorization Document (EAD) but will include text that reads, “Serves as I-512 Advance Parole.” A card with this text will serve as both an employment authorization and Advance Parole document. The new card is also more secure and more durable than the current paper Advance Parole document.

An applicant may receive this card when he or she files an Application for Employment Authorization, Form I-765, and an Application for Travel Document, Form I-131, concurrently with or after filing Form I-485. USCIS will continue to issue separate EAD and Advance Parole documents as warranted. Employers may accept the new card as a List A document when completing the Employment Eligibility Verification, Form I-9.

As with the current Advance Parole document, obtaining a combined Advance Parole and employment authorization card allows an applicant for adjustment of status to travel abroad and return to the U.S. without abandoning the pending adjustment application. Upon returning to the U.S., the individual who travels with the card must present the card to request parole through the port-of-entry. The decision to parole the individual is made at the port-of-entry. Individuals who have been unlawfully present in the U.S. and subsequently depart and seek re-entry through a grant of parole may be inadmissible and ineligible to adjust their status.

For more information about the EAD and Advance Parole card, see the related Questions and Answers. For more information on USCIS and its programs, visit www.uscis.gov.
