Topic: Booking return flight and not taking the flight back.

You could try it with a travel agency, they might be able to do something in that case.
Our flight was already 3 years ago, we had return flights and didn't have to pay after not using them.

Good luck!
Cheers

Hi Nelly,
it's not illegal. Go ahead with Return flight, to be on the save side you could call the airline and tell them you'll not on the flight....

Rgds

Topic: NBPNP - How long required to stay?

Hi,

as it's necessary to sign the form "Commitment to NB" and have it verified by a Notary Public I'm wondering now for how long it is necessary to stay in NB after obtaining PR.
There are not to many Job oppurtunity's in the Field I'm working in and I would like to know when it is safe to aplly for jobs in other Provinces.

Thanks!

100% agreed!

You walk excited to your mailbox every day and you walk frustrated back with bills and flyers ;)

At least I know now I'm not the only one....lol

Guess you should not be worried, they didn't request anything from you since eCas updated.
This indicates that they are happy with your file, guess the embassy staff is already on it's way back home to Canada......
I did not get any letter about Interview waived, but if they would like to see me they should already have sent a letter about this......pretty much the same as in your case.
We should get our PPR after the holidays.

Topic: case specific enquiry

Is it possible you mistyped your email address?
I would send your inquiry again and let them know that there might have been something wrong when you tried it earlier, it could be that they use the provided email address to communicate with you - it would really suck when their emails end up nowhere....

So far I have every time I used the case specific inquiry received a confirmation email within minutes....which doesn't mean they always responded to my question ;)

Topic: LMO required for PNP Nominees?

@Calgary123

To get that straight - as PNP you don't need a new LMO, right?
The provincial Immigration Office told me that I just have to go to the border to get my WP extended.....I hope that was the correct information as I plan to go next weekend.

@ichintu

58 days today since eCas Updated for me. You might want to recalculate ;)
I think I go to the border next week, throw 300,- Bucks away for the WP extension and hope this will satisfy them to Issue my PPR

Topic: Response from NY Office

I should probably add the following Details.

RPRF was payed sometime around mid August.
Medical Results have been received (eCas) September 28th, 2009.

Has now anybody a idea what the above email means? Am I through soon or does that just mean it will be a long wait again?

Thanks

Topic: Response from NY Office

Hi all,

I got today the following email from NY Visa Office:

Dear Mr. xxxxxxx,

Your application is in queue for the immigration officer's review.

Thank you for your interest in Canada.

Any idea what that means, can I expect the PPR in days, weeks or months?
A interpretation of this message would be much appreciated!

Topic: Supporting PNP Company Bankrupt while PR in process...

Hi Patti,

I don't understand the Situation.
I thought as soon as you are nominated from the Province you're eligible for a (Open) Workpermit, did you guys try that?
Just crossing the border and talk to the Immigration Officers when re-entering Canada?
Anyways, hope it works out good for you.

Keep my fingers crossed!

Topic: IA Letter and problems with providing the documents they ask for...

Hi guys,

Please help me understand this. Do all of my immidiate family memebers (parents, sisters/brithers) have to go through medical even if they will not accompany me to CAN? Thanks.

No,
only your children. It doesn't matter if they intend to come with you or not (they could change their mind).
Your Parents or Siblings don't need to take the medical.

Hi Pat,

let's start with the easy one. You should be able to get a new copy of your divorce certificate at the court where it was decided. Just contact them, if you are lucky they provide a english version.
With your 18 year old is a little bit more tricky, as I don't expect CIC to waive the medical for her I guess you have to convince her to do the medical.

Cheers
