Update: On 9/17 I applied for a SSN. I took my birth certificate, Texas ID & EAD. I received my card in the mail on 9/25.

I have just received my Employment Authorization Card, it is valid for one year and does not have any terms or conditions on it. It states that it is not valid for re-entry in to the US but that's no biggie. Is it wise to go apply for a SSN & DL? What documents do I need to take in order to obtain a SSN?
