Topic: soft LUD on my portofolio

The same thing just happened to me on 11/2. I got soft updates on I-140 and I-765 that were approved already, as well on my I-485 that is pending.

I am also on TX and EB3...

Hopefully this means we will both get the GC very soon. As yours seem to have been a little before me, if you get your GC it means that mine will be coming prob 1 week after yours (hopefully)

Topic: How can I inquire whether USCIS got info about my shoplifting?

Who cares about shoplifting? Its such a petty crime...

There are ppl born here in US soil that are terrorists, and even worse, there are americans that steal billions (a.k.a all CEOs from Wall Street)...

If we can have those guys from AIG being paid millions from my pocket, I give the OK for the guy to come back to the US. I would rather have someone like him that is clear about his issues than all those wall street criminals.... that only get richer.

Topic: Is USA still attractive? Do u really need a GC?

Ok, I think this is something related that I thought was extremelly funny... imagine if the people on Wall Street (Lehman Brothers, etc) decide to do the same?

Topic: Need Help - Using AC-21 but don't want to lose H1-B, but lawyer from company doesn't want to move H1

That's a good idea, and I will propose that as well.

Thanks!

Topic: Need Help - Using AC-21 but don't want to lose H1-B, but lawyer from company doesn't want to move H1

Hi,

I am being "forced" to convert as an employee from a consultant.

I have an H1-B valid for another 2 years, and I am in the very last stages of my GC process.

The lawyer from the company said that they don't need to move my H1-B over because it is practically impossible my green card will be rejected after the AC-21, thus they want me to use my EAD. However, I feel more safe if I keep the H1-B so if for whatever reason my GC is rejected, I will still be valid with the H1-B.

The manager wants me to come up with a list of question to give to the lawyer, and based on that they will decide if they keep my H1-B or give up on it and I just use the AC-21 (thus saving the company whatever few dollars it is to transfer the H1-B).

Can you guys help me with some questions to add to the list? The only one I could come up so far is:

- After I use my EAD card my H1-B automatically becomes invalid. What happens then if the GC is rejected for any reason?

In fact, Republicans are more friendly towards legal immigrants like me.

While Democrats, they are more protectionist and against all forms of immigration...
