Topic: Dependant Approval

U....thanks for taking the time to post. So we are on the same boat except for the RFE for my I485. I can so do without that esp after the one received by my husband's company for the I140. I know there is no ideal situation is there and we'll just hang in there.

GL to you & everyone else who is waiting.

Yes, this is absolutely helpful for me. My husband and kids received their card prod ordered e-mail about half an hour back and nothing for me. Feel kind of sorry for myself considering I am the one monitoring the USCIS website many times a day! I guess worrying and constant checking doesn't help does it.

I am just relieved that my husband has received his....me??? I will back to checking and monitoring.

GL to everyone out there...It will happen for us too.

Topic: EBIC in process, L1 is going to exp in OCT

your issue has been sorted but just wanted to second what everyone has said. Our I485 RD Aug 2007, renewed L1 in Dec 2007 and answered 'Yes'.

I'm not discouraged at all and one has to consider the wait lots of folks here have put in.

Miragorri,

I have a similar case, my dates are similar to your too and I too had a soft LUD on the approved I140 nearly 2 weeks after approval. No change of employer here. From some of what I have read here folks say a soft LUD on an approved I140 could mean that they have possibly assigned a visa # and you could get an approval on the I485 soon(search the board for those threads).

So, if I were you I would stay calm and wait it out, not that you have any other immediate choices but worrying about something you cannot control doesn't help.

Topic: Ask a Lawyer for $10!

I see no harm if the legal issues are covered as far as you are concerned and everyone remembers that not everything can be resolved by asking in a ten dollar consult. I have used a legal website when I was unsure of what to do for a work related problem and it did help me, sure my issue was complicated and it went beyond just the answer I received from the website but it did help me define a 'course of action'.

Anytime you add a helpline it can only assist. People can take from it what they want....the good thing is that since people will always have this forum to cross check back with the lawyers will really have their work cut out in terms of the quality of answers they will post. Should be very interesting come to think of it !!

Topic: Ask a Lawyer for $10!

As long as everyone here continues to post and share experiences the legal advise section can only help.

A QA section with a lawyer can however take away from 'experience sharing'...where traditionally everyone would have replied back with their personal experiences and in that way the poster gets a whole wide range of answers/ possible scenarios etc. But having said that maybe absolute expert advise is what so many need for their problems.
