Let me clarify what I meant, since Oct 2008, I only see one person (EB3 ROW) that has pirority date past May 2005 got approved. This is quite consistant with Visa Bulletin Nov, which indicate they are processing EB3 ROW with pirority date up until 01MAY05, (which means anyone within the priority dates including 2001 to 2005 are being processed, despite not being in FIFO order) However, the processing dates for Texas & Nebraska for emplyment based I485 should be June/July 2007 but many people outside these processing timeframe including 2008 have been approved. I hope I explained myself clearer. |

I noticed a trend of going strickly on Pirotity dates and processing dates of Service Center is not being followed, anybody share the observation? |

Hi Elephant, I did my EAD myself via E file & received it within 60 days (from day of submit) I've got my 2 years EAD (Nebraska) & it even have ny finger print on it. I didnt even have to send in supplimentary information some has suggested. Hope you get your EAD soon! |

First of all, if Obama wins, he has indicated that pirority will be given to law abiding legal immigrants.
Coming from a conservative christian (baptist )background, I thank God for opening my eyes & reminded me that God is of love, kindness and non judgemental. God is of choice. God warned Adam & Eve NOT to eat from "tree of knowledge-" aka apple tree"or there will be consequences, yet CHOICES were given to Adam & Eve. God didn't make it ILLEGAL to eat from the tree of knowledge.
On Abortion- Nobody is pro abortion. Anyone that is thinking about abortion is going some rough time/choices that we dont understand, just like most American will not understand the pain or anxiety of not knowing of what will happen to our job/greencard in a volatile market. I encourge pro-life people like myself to find a way to prevent abortion or provide solutions to those who are thinking about abortion not end the freedom of choice. This will encourage pro-life behaviors without taking away people's choices. Forcing people by making it illegal will only make it unsafe and stimulate black market.
On Gay Marriage- As minorities ourselves, have we forgotten how it feels to be discriminated against or not having the same right to change job due to visa law & glass ceiling? Why support discriminating on another minority? In the past, black cannot marry white, dont be blinded by politician pushing the initiative through preaching fear & hatred to get votes. Two consenting adults should not be discrimated due to race, sexual orientation or national region. Thats what bring us to America, opportunities and freedom of choice. Lets keep it the way! Amen! |
Topic: I-485 pending for 470 + days, PD current, about to get 7th yr H1B renewal
I would encourage u to get EAD, its very simple and I did it myself & paid $340 on fees. I E filed and received 2 years EAD within 60 days. The only trouble is getting finger print & picture taken which is not too complicated. I did not even need to send it supplementary information & my fingerprint did show up on my EAD card. |

I just checked the I485 tracker and saw someone on EB3 with pirority date of Jan 2006 from Texas processing center got approved. At least there is some EB3 movement, I wish I would get that lucky. |

Thank you lrindy & foampile,
I was so worried sick that I couldn't eat for 2 days. Calling my (Malaysia) embassy didn't help as they told me it takes 6 months to get a replacement and the only chance I get to see all my family memebers are in 3 months. It has been about 8 years I last seen everybody together. |

Anyway to speed up receiving a replacement as I need to go home to see my family?

I am going through the exact same frustration, I have been looking at Canada & Mexico a few times a day for 3 weeks now. NOTHING!!! I even call the 1-900- in Mexico...still NOTHING!! Singapore have plenty of open though! Whats the point of giving H1B approval if you cannot enter the country??? |
