I can't comment on the fasttracking part - but yes AE definitely helps.

Topic: 1 year TWP and applying for PR/SW

As you are in Canada you should apply @Buffalo.

@Buffalo it will take 8 - 24months depending on the profile / documentation. You will definitely have preference because of the arranged employment. I applied last year with AE [IT Job] got PR just under 12 months.

Note:- I did the mistake of not taking the IELTS exam initially which obviously added few months to my processing time.

Topic: time left on passports when landing as pr's

Having atleast 6months validity is preferable as with any visa application. But please note that your PR visa expiry date will be the validity of your passport if passport validity is less than medical validity.

Topic: Landing Question

I have a quick question - do we need to carry any photographs while landing. Is this required for PR Card or they will take it ?
Please let me know.

Topic: did anyone else get asked for tax returns for their PR?

May be they are trying to verify your income / job details.

Topic: IELTS ???

We can't say the application will be rejected if you dont submit IELTS results. The worst thing that can happen is to get asked to take the exam. CIC always gives a chance to the applicant to take the IELTS exam if they are not submitting the results initially. If the results are not submitted still - then its a different case.

Note:- Submitting IELTS initially always helps though.

Topic: Sample Job Offer Letter

Initially I gave the letter from HR indicating the position & salary along with the work permit copy [this had company name too]. A role description on the letter head also would be beneficial as they normally asks for that later.

Topic: Address change

The online address update is NOT recommended if your application is outside of Canada [any visa office outside of Canada - even if you are currently in Canada] as the address is not downloaded from the site to the local offices. You would have received a form for address change as part of you AOR or IA - you should use that.
