Sent on 01/22/10 - Checks cashed on 01/29 and Notice date February 2nd.
Received Feb 5th - No update since then. |

That's fairly normal. You can travel on the stamped AP as long as it is valid. Dont forget to take copies though |

Topic: Advance Parole Renewal question
I recently got interviewed at the Local USCIS office after my case was transferred from Nebraska Service Center (NSC) to National Benefits Center (NBC). - Of course, it was just routine and the officer asked me about my job etc. and then said he couldn't issue the Green Card due to non-availability of Visa numbers.
My question is: I now want to renew my AP (I'm working on EAD right now). Where do I send my renewal application for AP - Nebraska or NBC??
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you! |

I got the same notice today for my wife and I - no idea what it means - I figure they want to schedule an interview. Not sure if that's good or bad news!

I applied via mail and sent it FedEX over night. I just sent the following letter along with my documents and 131 application.

This application is based on Employment based adjustment of status application received by USCIS on **********. I believe that all the documents I have submitted are true and in order. Enclosed please find the following documents:
Form I-131 duly filled in. √
Filing fee in the amount of $305. √
2 Passport style photographs. √
Copy of official photo identity documents (Passport first and last pages). √
Copy of most recently issued EAD. √
Copy of most recent I-94 Arrival/Departure record to indicate the current status. √
Copy of I-485 receipt notice to indicate AOS pending. √
Copy of most recently issued Advance Parole Document. √

Yupp - its true!! Yes, I had put in a request to expedite but didn't imagine it would take less than a month! Looking at the trends it seems to be taking from 1 to 3 to 5 months - I had no hope!
Anyhow, I applied on 01/19, Check cashed 1/20 (Of course they're not going to waste any time fleecing you!)
1/23 - DMTA! Received it today. For once - Thank you, USCIS! |

Topic: How Long does it take for EAD Card to Arrive?
My card arrived 4 days after CPO email. My wife's took a week. We both filed together for EADs.
There is no time frame - USCIS is the worst run organization ever!
You should get yours any day now. Sep 12th was a Friday so give it until the end of the week or early next week. |
