Any one knows about Select Serivce ? What it is? If registered , does it mean, one has to wear uniform?

I have green card now. So what next..
1. What is Form I-551,? Is is this card itself?
2. Do we need anoher Social Security number? why?
3. What about military srvice registration? Called draft? Any one has ideas?

Whatto do next after getting Green Card.
Also what is Form I-551? Is it the card itself !!

USCIS is LIFO based..Correct.

This was always my question too? where those visa has gone. Toi me it looks very fishy and misleading.
How suddenly only htis year all over the world started consuming visas? Strange. Even though economy is not in good shape.
How come these dats keep dancing. Once can undrstand to some extend but going back 2001 and then 2006? It looks some one is making joke of immigrants. Any logic do not fit to jsuify these dancing visa dates. Why not then 1990. It may be good for soem time to sleepover.

You are 100% correct.
They have more incentive to delay + accumulate others (backlog). This is the only agency which is recession free, work free and name any?
Unfortunatly you can not do anything other then just write here and keep your nerve alert al the time and fear of uncertainity.
On that part some one is enjoying your plight.

The only predictions which are 100 % right are..
1. They will see , how can they get more out of people waiting in line ( why: they have to feed their family guys....Enjoy their life....etc).
2. They keep the backlog maintained (why: they need to survive to show there is a need for them).
3. They wil raise fee at soem point or make it renewable may be multple time in a year ( why: need to stimulate sucking economy)

Like, they will only touch when visa # available? Or every thing is OK only waiting for vosa #.

btw, I call as per 1-2-3. To my surprised, lady gave me SR based on my receipt # without knowing PD. What a surprise? How these people work on immigrant money like dud.

when it come to USCIS: there is no rules. Believe me.
Think logical guys. This is source of revnue to them to feed their family and enjoy their holydays.
Maintaining backlog justyy their existance.
Only few lucky may be really lucky to get put of this mess.

Nothing can deter to these mf who are determinded to suck immegrant asses to run their family and daily living.
All is waste. They are created haven for themself and hell for immigrants
