You will also need you update your own SSN to remove restrictions.
Need to send a copy of your GC to your work to swtich you from EAD/H1 to GC.
If you own a house, you might need to send a copy of your GC to your mortgage company.
Cant think of anything else...
Reminder for today to update this thread. I have the following updates.
12/03 - LUD with Welcome notice sent on 12/1 both myself and wife.
12/03 - LUD for Card production ordered both myself and wife.
12/06 - LUD for Approval notice sent for both myself and wife.
12/06 - Recd the Welcome Notice.
Once we receive the card, is there any formalities that we need to complete?. One of the items i know is to apply for SSN for my wife who has been on a H4 so far. Anything else?. Please share your thoughts.

My PD is current .I transferred my priority date from old. My I-140 has old priority date. It is current now.

Unless you made a mistake in your profile, your PD is 2006 and you are from India. It is very unlikely that your 485 will be approved anytime soon. But stranger things have happened.... |

I talked to an IO this morning and found out that my 485 was approved as well. Just squeezed thro!1 WOOHOOO...
Checked online a few minutes ago and voila:

Topic: Case has been assigned to an officer ??
The last time I called i was told that i had cleared all the security checks and that my application was on-route to an IO. I called this morning to check if my app was assigned an IO. She said not only has it been assigned an IO, it was approved this morning. I was dumb-founded. I couldnt believe it. I asked her to repeat it and she started to laugh and said yeah, it was approved an hour earlier.
But no email yet.....dont know how soon the updates get sent out. So until i see that email, i i am not going to celebrate. |
