guys, on 02/02/10 received an email saying :
On February 2, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Yesterday, i received an email saying :
On January 29, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

just one last clarification. the required doc's is requested to be sent to a po box...mine is tsc....im aware that one cannot fedex to a p.o. box.....in this case can i do a register mail...just dont want my mail to be lost....wat did u do in ur case? sorry for the trouble...just worried...thanks again | | | |

i understand u rec'd a RFe for medical report. when the letter was sent to u by uscis, was there a GOLD SHEET attached?
for sum reason my medical report went missing..and rfe was sent to me to resubmit the report. as per the instruction i am asked to make a copy of the letter and attach the gold sheet...which i did not receive.
can u advise if u did receive a GOLD SHEET with your ref letter? | | | |

Hi Guys,
Received RFE for copy of radiologist xray report. Not sure wat happened. Full report was submitted with form I-693. Believe sumwhat someone messed up.....
The thing now is, according to RFE it says when sending the report pls include a copy of this letter and PLACE THE ATTACHED GOLD SHEET ON TOP OF YOUR DOCUMENT!
But the prob is they weren't any GOLD SHEET attched with RFE.
Does anyone have any idea what is a GOLD SHEET ? | | | |

hi,
I am under L2. My app was done in vermont. my first app was approved in 30 days...my renewall was processed around 50 days...and recent app was approved around 60 days.
You can call tell and advise that it need to be expedited. as typical processing time frame is 90 days. they will expedite on certain circumstances like financial crisis......uv got to read the reasons for expediting. I see lot of people in the forum have requested for their ead to be expedited.....
uscis will look into it and respond within 5 days.....call them.. | | | |

My EAD approved. But I-485, rfe sent. received an email saying that it reason will be indicated on the letter.
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE SENT, CASE PLACED ON HOLD
On January 5, 2010, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-52

i believe you can.....because if at all biometrics is required....when a letter is sent to you on your appointment info.......there is a note on " request for rescheduling". you will have to mail the appointment letter to the service center for them to reschedule it. as as you know...ead processing time frame is 90 days. | | | |

they do ask for reasons........but they would keep repeating on what is stated in your receipt....you can tell them....you need to get it expedited..as you will lose your job if your ead dont get approved withing certain dates.....but they would repeat the same line over and over....and they would finally say to call back if its not processed in 90 days. just felt like talking to a robot..... | | | |

Hello there...
Good for you! I think it all depends ....
As far as my EAD is concern the status is still pending...but LUD changed from 12/9 to 12/11......thats about it.
Dont think FP helped in my case......
My existing EAD expired on 12/17.....I am sitting at home....and waiting. Hoping to get it at least by early Jan.
My employer is understanding enough........I can reapply for my job once I have a valid EAD in hand till the GC comes.
At the moment terminated.
My attempt to expedite EAD ...didn't work out for me.
I called USCIS but as usual was advised processing time frame is 90 days..I have to wait and ........................bla bla bla...
I am not discouraging you...but you should try, read all the forums on EAD..our colleagues have some good insight on what can be done..

hi..i am new here...been following this site for few days now....just thought of sharing my journey......might help someone...
I-485, and i-765 was sent to VSC on 2nd week of nov
My paperworks was later sent to TSC
receipt date was 11/17/09 for both the above
FP was dated 11/23, and I received it on 12/05
FP, scheduled for 12/15
My existing EAD is about to expire soon, and after reading the discussion got to know that I can walk in.
I did on 12/8, but it wasn't easy. I was advised I am early and to comeback on the appointment date.
I explained that I need my FP done asap as it will help with my EAD.
Some are saying FP/Biometrics would expedite EAD and some are saying FP is mainly for i-485.
After 3.5 hours of waiting, I was allowed to do my FP.
The status online changed today.....from last updated date 11/17 to 12/9.
I believe this is an overnight run by the system, which will automatically update our file when new entry (biometrics) is being made.
So, I am basically hoping that my EAD comes asap.......
