I'm actually just in the initial stage of my PNP application. I got the acknowledgment from BCPNP on Jan 31, 2008 and now waiting for them to approve of it (fingers-crossed!). So yeah, your previous message will surely help once the Nominee Certificate arrives...until then, I will just be waiting silently :-)
I have family in Surrey so I will most likely stay there. How bout you? |

Hi our timeline is as follows:
job offer 15/11/07, BCPNP application 29/11/07, BCPNP Nomination 17/12/07, PR application sent to CHC London 29/1/08, Work Permit application 4/2/08, Work Permit approved 18/2/08............Canada here we come.
Hi! That was fast! Congratulations! I see you got your nomination on Dec. 17 but only applied for a Work Permit 2 months later...why is that? Can't you apply for a Work Permit immediately after you've received your nomination? Is this not enough supporting document for a work permit to be approved? |

You cant work on a tourist visa. If the employer needs you badly, they should be willing to wait until your papers are done. |

Hi! I have been offered a job in BC and the supporting document we used in the application. It is a requirement for BC PNP to first have a job offer from an employer based in that province. |
Topic: Are they BC PNP Aplicants out there who are now in Canada under a Work Permit?
I was wondering if there are cases wherein the PNP Applicant has received a Nomination Certificate and has started to work in Canada even before the PR documents are released. I hope anyone with this kind of case can share their experience. How soon after you get the Nominee Certificate can you go to Canada and start working for your employer? |
