Topic: Any one who filed between July 3 to 17th NSC got the 485 receipts

Our checks were cashed on Sep 14 and we received our receipts yesterday (Sep 17). Receipt date was July 3rd and NSC. We were really losing hope but I guess they have a lot of paperwork!

Topic: Nebraska - EAD June filing anyone

We were told our papers were probably transferred to TSC as we are in Florida. However our checks were chased today and they have LIN numbers!!! So our cases are in fact in NSC. We requested expedited processing and our papers were received at NSC on July 3rd.
We checked our LIN numbers online and it just says 'case received and pending'!

Topic: Nebraska or Texas

We found out that Florida cases had been transferred to TSC. Our I-140s were approved last summer in Nebraska so I don't thinkit necessarily goes to the same center. It looks as though it goes by where you live.

Topic: Receipting Update - 8/31 - 2 days fwd NCS & 0 days for TCS

We are in Florida. You need to search for the congressman in your area. Ask your employer who that is or do a google search.

Topic: Receipting Update - 8/31 - 2 days fwd NCS & 0 days for TCS

I got really fed up with these updates so I contacted my local congressman. They found out that my case was transferred from NSC to TSC which explains why I have had no receipt nor en cashed checks! I am annoyed about this as I have a signed confirmation in NSC of July 3rd from USPS.
Apparently Florida cases were transferred to TSC after the July 17 announcement so I am wondering now what my receipt date will be. I am particularly angry as I requested an expedited EAD. I am however noticing that TSC seems faster at issuing EADS but who knows!

Topic: Why are some receipts issued for some people and not others?

According to our local congress office our cases were transferred from Nebraska to Texas in mid July! The receipting update indicates they are only on June 30th! However looking at this site it seems people are receiving receipts sooner. We will keep our fingers crossed that a miracle may happen in the next week! The congress office are now trying to speak to someone at the TSC.
We do not have a lawyer as we did the applications ourselves. As we are teachers we have had a 3 month summer so luckily have not had the employment issue until now!

Topic: Why are some receipts issued for some people and not others?

I am noticing that many people have receipt numbers for cases filed after mine. I have tried calling USCIS several times and they say they cannot do anything until I have waited 90 days! I filed along with my wife on July and have a signature confirmation for July 3rd at 9:30 a.m. Our cases were filed in Nebraska, from where we already had approved I-140s. We check our bank account every day and no checks have been cashed. We filed I-485, 765 and 131.
We are particularly upset as we keep being told on the phone that receipts are being issued in the order they were received! This obviously is not the case. The last 2 receipting updates indicate that a receipt should have been issued for us but nothing!
We are particularly annoyed as we are supposed to start teaching again next week and have no work authorization and my wife is 8 months pregnant. Without her job she loses health insurance and is potentially faced with having to pay the bill. Our US citizen child will lose her health insurance too!
We did request for our EAD to be expedited due to severe financial hardship to both us and the school. Our employer wrote a letter also. The school are now faced with having to put substitutes into our classes who know nothing about learning disabled students!
We have now got in contact with our local congressman and hope that we may be able to get somewhere!
It just seems so unfair!
