Topic: Goals are just Goals, who knows when USCIS reach them...
How about making a goal to reach previously set goals. |
Topic: I TOO GOT IT.
Congrats!! 11 years is quite a long time. Even longer when you have a sword hanging over your head...You must write a book about this. |
Topic: TX Service center introduces streamline procedure
Next thing you know the inbox is full and emails will start piling up. Then there will be a priority date published on which emails the USCIS is processing. Another queue will be formed to provide much needed jobs. |
Topic: Anyone received EAD Card after e-file but WITHOUT fingerprinting / biometric:
I would have gone to the Biometrics appointment if they had asked me to go. However I never received any biometrics notice and got the EAD with the "fingerprints not available" message. It seems to be a common thing. Please post here if I need to be concerned |
Topic: New EAD Vs Extensions
Just checking with people on their experiences. Did you see if your first time EAD took longer/shorter time to approve, compared to the extension... Ideal curiosity while I wait for my 485 :) |
Topic: Got an email from CIS re: AP extension
Looks like a scam email to me. The .com suggests that. USCIS is a government agency so it should be .gov. Use Mozilla to navigate to the website part of the from address, ie the part after the @ and see what you get. You can use tracert to see where the website is hosted at. Finally, contact USCIS and see if they requested anything |
Topic: I-485 RFE; Please help
Its unfortunate that such a situation happened, but mistakes do happen. I don't think this is catastrophic enough to cause a huge problem. You guys need to talk to a good immigration lawyer, not the one the company pays for. |
Topic: Strange - on USCIS website
Try using Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. I am able to click all the cases in my portfolio when I use Firefox, but not in IE. |
Topic: HOW LONG AFTER APPROVAL?
My compay is located in Texas so HR got the courtsey copy in 4 days. Lawyer got it in about 8 days. |
Topic: Appeal treated as MTR - what does it mean?
From what I understand you file form 290B which is supposed to be a Motion to Reopen/Reconsider. If after reviewing the case again, the USCIS officer still feels that the denial was correct, then the MTR turns into an Appeal. This is just what I concluded from emailing my lawyer when we had to file 290B. My hunch is that you guys probably filed for an appeal without a MTR first, so they turned the appeal into a MTR.
By God's grace, I did not have to find out what happens if the MTR is denied and the case goes to appeals. Hopefully you will not have to find out either. |
