Topic: Case status site says "Invalid receipt number"

My H1B extension was filled on 14th Feb (FTE, PP + H4 EAD). I received the receipt numb er on 02/23. When I go to USCICS to check the case status.

"My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance"

Has anyone else gone through this?

Topic: VISA Stamping-221(g)

Here is my situation:

Visa post: Delhi
Dropbox submission: 28th Dec (Bengaluru CGI office)
Received 221G (Yellow): 3rd Jan(I was asked to submit a new DS160 and photograph)
Document submitted: 10th Jan (Kolkata CGI office)

I was asked to submit my passport along with the documents. On 12th
"Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks."

Has anyone gone through a similar situation?

Topic: Ds160 Question: Help needed

Guys, I am filling DS160 and need help with 2 questions

My background, I have been in USA for 10 years and have made multiple trips during this time.

Question: Who is paying for your trip?
Technically I am paying for my tickets so should I select myself or should I pay employer since I will get salary from my employer.

Topic: DS160 question: Family accompanying

I am in India and need to submit DS-160 for renewal. My family stayed back in usa.
There is a question in DS-160 form which says Who is travelling with you.
Technically my family is not travelling with me since they are already in usa.

Should I enter my family details in this section?

Topic: Yellow 221G issued at Delhi consulate

I applied for a VISA at Delhi consulate using Interview waiver program and used drop box facility. I have been given a yellow slip with a request to apply for visa again. Has anyone else been through this? I work for a top bank in USA and been there for 10 years.

Topic: Passport expired/Renewed, H1B Visa valid: Do I need stamping?

Hi

My passport which is already expired has H1B visa stamped until July 2016. I had my passport renewed and filed H1B extension (My new I797 is valid until Nov 2018). So I have a new passport, a new I-797 but visa is stamped on old Passport.
That being said, Do I need visa stamping as I am going to India this week.

Just keep the positive attitude and be ready for this change.
IT is going to happen, start planning for what you want to do once you have EAD.
Give it a meaningful thought and do something which is more useful than writing code for someone.

Topic: I-94 (At POE) dates don't match to the Visa stamped date

My H1B was approved until July 2016 and I visited India this summer.
My Visa was stamped until July 2016 but at Port of entry (Washington DC), I-94 issued was until Nov 2015.

Has anyone noticed this?

Topic: Visa Interview Waiver - Recent Experience in Hyd

Hi,

I was interviewed for my visa in 2011 and I do quality for IWP (use of drop box facility).
There was a question in DS-160 which said that was I ten printed?
I don't remember how was I ten printed? so I answered it to NO.
Does it make a difference if we answer it to Yes or no?

Also, what was your answer since you should have your previous visa stamped during the same time?

Topic: DS-160 Question ten printed: eligible for Drop box facility

While filling DS-160, I saw a question which said "Have you been ten printed".
My H1B visa was stamped in 2011 but I was not sure about ten printed so I answered "NO".

I do quality for the Drop-box facility, Has anyone used the drop box facility with Answer to ten printed as NO?
(Or should I answer it yes)?

Topic: Change of employment with PERM and 140 approved

I was working for a software consulting company (Employer A) who filed my PERM in 2011.
While my PERM was pending approval, client (Employer B) hired me full time.
My PERM and 140 was approved in Feb 2012 from employer A.

in January 2013 my employer B filed a PERM which is still pending approval.
In March 2013, Employer B filed my H1B extension based on approval from employer A's I-140.

So at this point in time I have
1. I-140 approved from Employer A
2. Labor pending approval from employer B
3. H1B valid until Jul 2016

I was thinking about a job change and have been talking to another employer C.
Employer C wants to file Green card in EB-3 category.

My question is, If I change my job and go to employer C, who uses I-140 from employer A and gets 3 year extension.
Will I Still be able to go to Employer A if

1. Priority date gets current for Eb-2 category? (Aug 2011)

Topic: Can current employer file a H1B extension based on prev I-140?

My previous employer "A" filed I-140 after I changed the employer and joined a new company.
I submitted copy of my I-140 approval to current company "B" and my H1-B is coming to an end in July 2013.

Can My current employer "B" file my H1B extension based on the I-140 approval from my previous employer "A"?
