Topic: Approved - After 7 looong years
I just got my approval email after 7 long years.
Every hurdle that one expect, I have faced. First, April 30, 2001 long delay for MD, then Blockage elimination delay at Phildelphia, then 2+ years of Name Check delay, then Background check on 485 itself. It tooks more than 7 years although my PD was current for the entire time.
Good Luck for all of you who are waiting for long time. I pray for all the old timers like me.. specially when I see approvals for 2007 PDs.

Was your fingerprint2 code 1? I had mine on November 4th, code 1. Did you ever get the info that when your case was assigned to an officer? |
Topic: Need help on case is waiting for additional process!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi,
I have called NSC a month ago and informed me that the initial process of my case is done which she meant that all required papers are there and file is waiting to be seen by an IO.
I have called today and IO told me that case is waiting for additional process and also I have asked that did they send any RFE and informed me "NO". I was unable to retrieve what he meant for additional process.
Could you please help me out to understand what could be this additional process!
Dear Jewel,
Only suggestion i give you is to rear up your patience. Your case has not even passed the processing-date mark yet and you are only few months old in the arena. Please indulge yourself in reading posts in various forums ( including Trackitt) and enrich your concept about the world you just entered into. Don't mess your peace with things that you don't need to worry about at this stage. |

Topic: Writing to a senator/congressman - good or bad??
My PD is Mar 2004 and received date is June 29 2007. Iam current for last two months. Nothing happening. Name check cleared in Nov 2007. No help from Info pas so far.
Do you think writing a letter to senator will help or make it worse . I talked to local senator officer they are ready to help.
Since i am current only for last two months and this month, will it have any negative effect??
Truly speaking it is kind of a peace-of-mind thing. In reality, no use. They will do nothing for you except let you know what a service request will throw at you. Sometime they keep on sending the same request on your behalf in an interval and keep you posting the status ,sometime only if your case is approved/denied. I have been doing this for over a year. Recently I asked from my congressman all monthly replies from congressional liason in USCIS. They all came with the same reply , kinda cut and paste scenario. They will not be able to expedite/request for your case.
But you may try, who knows. |

Topic: 2-year EAD renewal scenario
Based on the EAD renewal trends in trackitt it looks USCIS has been issuing EAD for 2 years irrespective of I-485 case situation. In cetain scenario cases got approved in weeks after 2-year EAD renewal. Is there any coordination between the EAD approval process and I-485 approval process? |
