Topic: Texas is back in business!

TSC is back to work, after a 2-week gap. Had an RFE on 10/3 and this morning (10/22, 10am) I got the Card Production Ordered email!

Topic: Texas??

What's going on with TSC? Not a single approval in the past two weeks... I don't buy the receipting story, receipting updates show that both TSC and NSC are at the same receipting date. I got a RFE two weeks ago, I'm eager to get a decision!

Topic: Traveling with AP and AOS DENIED!!!

Is there a particular reason why you think that your 485 will be denied? The AP is specifically for use when you don't have any other visa left, and many (most?) use it as their sole method of entering. As another poster said in this thread: Once the 140 is approved and never revoked (no AC21 with an unfriendly previous employer that revokes the 140, for instance), 485s usually don't get denied.

Topic: Urgent - Confused about what is printed on the EAD card

You also need to renew it every year until you have your greencard. Most people get an Advance Parole travel document (for re-entry into the US) and an EAD (for work authorization) at the same time.

Topic: What are the different ways to find out about Name Check?

I don't think there's a better way than the one that you're describing. Use the USCIS number and hope you get the actual service center on the line instead of the national customer service center. If not, hang up and try again :)

Topic: internal / external check what that

OK, first of all; please explain the words "applay", "cheking", "merrige" and "britchitfacite" to us. I'm not a native English speaker (not many I485 applicants are) but you'd expect that one can spell "apply", "checking", "marriage", and "birth certificate" correctly before attempting to immigrate to the USA. We all do have a bachelor's minimally, right?

Topic: OCT 2007 is looking good so far

I had two LUDs and it turned out to lead into an RFE. Nothing is sure...

The Indian guy (gal?) might have a RD of June but probably a PD that is current as per the VB. Now, they shouldn't be processing June filers as per the Processing Times update, but that's a different story.

Topic: With Approved AP, while WORKING ON H1B visa, can we RE-ENTER US without stamping visa in passport

Ah right, that makes sense. I travel for work so often that the I94 that comes with the I129 is usually surrendered within weeks :)
