Topic: Work Culture at USCIS ??

It depends what USCIS form are we talking about. If its I-485, I understand the delay because it has to go through a lot of scrutiny from name FBI Name check etc.. Priority dates and of course "Visa Availability". But if we are talking about I-140, I think applications pending for more than a year is ridiculous. Before your I-140 is filed it goes to the process of " Labor Certification" and I understand it goes throug the same process. If USCIC has questions regarding the job, company, pay etc. why not ask for RFE immediately. I can see some people whose I-140 getting denied after year(s) of waiting and it does'nt make sense. I hope and pray that everyone of us in this kind of dilemma will find relief soon.

Topic: EAD Renewal

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On July 9, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I applied for my wife's EAD renewal on July 1, 2008 (E-File) she had her FP done on August 29,2008. I checked status tonight August 31, 2008 and the above message is what I got, is this possible or just a mistake. How can it be approved on July 9 and until now we have yet to receive the approval notice that USCIS sent.
