Akshay,
Think out of the box....here's whay you need to do....
Call up the 800#...tell them you dont have the transfer notice and that you are trying to find out where the heck your file is physically rt now....since they dont have privy to that info as well, they will escalate to an IO.
Once u get to talk to an IO, then tell him that you have the transfer notice and ask him to provide you updates. Keep checking this way and piece together info from IOs......not all IOs are very forth coming....

Yesterday I got to know abt my transfer...today i wanted to confirm. When I called back an IO said she does not see anything abt my appt.....I knew not to stretch it with her as I see a trend here...will xplain the trend in a bit.....so hung up the phone and called rt back....anothe IO confirmed that i have an appt @ 3pm for me and 3:30pm on 01-13-2009 for my wife....so this is what I had heard yesterday as well.
As far as treand goes what ihave noticed is any white accented IO will not give u info or will give u the wrong info....any body else with a heavy accent will go the xtra length.

Hope this helps.

Thyramax,
I took multiple Infopass appts....so much so that the supervisor (a very nice white lady in Atl) recognizes me rt away and also takes me to her cube/window to investigate my issue.
I also think the excellent staff of Sen.Saxby Chambliss & Congressman Tom Price were etremely patient with me and for letting me be the driver as far as when to call and who to call and what to say.
I also bombarded the ombudsman office with postal mails.
Im not sure if any of these worked...but was definitely driven to put this whole thing behind me asap.

Ok folks....just got this from speaking to an IO.
My case has now been scheduled for an interview on Jan13th 2009 @ 10am. This happened today and am expecting the notice to arrive this week.
Lets see if they are going to cancel my interview like they have for some people on ths forum.
I feel i went after USCIS consistently..via senator/congressman/infopass and got it out in the open.
I'm hoping that dates move by January..so that I can get approved.
Wishful thinking...may be..but definitely one more step closer!!
Lets see.

Guys,
USCIS DOES NOT SEEM TO KNOW THE PROCESS THEMSELVES

My case is in NBC rt now.
Senator's office when they followed up with Atl filed office were told: Whenever Atl requests for files from NBC, it is in batches...and that I had ot wait for my case to be part of some batch.

I took 2 Info pass:
First one, I was told that my case is in the interview scheduler bin
Second one, the supervisor (not the IO) says that NBC has not processed it yet and that they cannot request it.

What is the freakin process here?
Who sends the file where or who requests for the file? Nobody is able to answer such a simple question!!!
