Topic: People waiting for 100+ days for EAD - Any Info?
SRK,
Your PD may not be current but your application may have already been adjudicated. Your PD is 2002.
You might hear some good news. Hang in there ! |
Topic: Lets discuss the possibilities as to why is it taking for ever for our applications?
Enigma ---
I think there have been cases where folks have got their green cards directly without EAD/AP. I see your PD is 2003, you might get lucky in October.
BTW, haven't heard "enigma" in years...COLDPLAY is my favorite these days... |
Topic: I-485 unique situation
Hey man...stay put. You are almost there in the green card process. You will probably have your green card in less than the year. You waited this long, I would wait. |
Topic: Chances of EB2 485 with Jan '06 PD getting approved say within 6 months or early
OMG !!! Indian men and their Indian arranged marriages. How do you know you will find love in the next 6 months ?
You came to America for a better life and leave some of these archaic customs behind. |
Topic: Next Step after Card Production
Maggie - Since you have a dependent H4 visa, you are eligible for a SSN. Don't you have a bank account?
But you definitely cannot work without SSN. |
Topic: Next Step after Card Production
Please apply for SSN. I don't remember how long it takes. Go to a local INS office and get it done. I wouldn't wait for the EAD to come. |
Topic: Next Step after Card Production
Why doesn't your wife have an SSN ? Is she a FOB ? What visa was she on before AOS? |
Topic: concurrent vs standalone
Look at travelbug73 :
His labor was filed on 08/25/2005 and he filed his I-485 in September 2005 ( Visa bulletin was current for EB2 back in September 2005). His green card got approved ahead of folks with earlier pds because he filed his I485 before the earlier pd applicants had filed their I-485.
Now one would argue if the receipting dates are identical but the priority dates are not - then ofcourse the one with the earlier PD would win if their is a visa number available according in his/her employment category OR whichever case was easier to approve depending on the case background.
BTW, EB2 do have preference over EB3. |

His green card got approved ahead of folks with earlier pds because he filed his I485 before the earlier pd applicants had filed their I-485.So you are right the USCIS does approve cases based on receipting date and visa numbers available to that employment category. It is FIFO for EB2 & EB3.

Topic: F1 status and I485 Filing
How can you file permanent residency when you are on F1 visa ? I don't understand. |
