Topic: How do I expedite my EAD?

I am copying my own previous post, "The receipt numbers are not yet active. Called customer service; at first level CSR could not look up my receipt numbers and forwarded me to the second level; at second level a guy told me that my case is processing along okay and I should wait for the receipt numbers to appear online. He did not give a specific timeframe and told me that it is one of those things that happens when it happens."

My receipt numbers did get activated hours after my FP. So I would advice you to wait until your FP is done, and next day call USCIS to request an expedited processing of I-765.

Topic: EAD not adjudicated because of background check !! Any help please

Hi azar,

FP is generally processed by FBI with in 24 hours. Call FBI at 304-625-5590 and they will tell you when your FP request was submitted back to USCIS.

Topic: Soft LUDs on both I-485 and I-130

USCIS received my I-485/I-130/I-765/I-131 package on the 28th of August, 2008. I got FP done on the 24th of September and received an LUD the next day. I got my I-765 approved in mid October. Today I got soft LUDs on both I-485 and I-130. What does it suggest? Is it common to have an LUD two months or so after the submission?

Topic: TWO A#'s assigned to me

Adnan,

Since its not even five months you submitted your application, it would be premature to say that your interview is being delayed for not reporting the previous A#. Anyways, you can call USCIS and let them know that you previously had an A# that was not reported on the I-130/I-485 forms.

Topic: TWO A#'s assigned to me

Any one who has two or more A#s goes through this consolidation process. I guess you did not mention you old A# on your I-130/I-485 application? Had you done that, USCIS would have already consolidated the new and old A#s. However, I don’t think it will pose any threat to the approval of your application.

Topic: From EAD to H-1B?

My employer applied for my H-1B in March 2008, which is still pending due to background checks. My OPT-based EAD expired in August. I applied for I-130/I-485/I-765 through my USC spouse in August, and my EAD got approved last week. Now I have accepted an employment based on my new EAD.

My questions are:
1) Should I withdraw my pending H-1B application?
2) If my pending H-1B gets approved, can I go back to H-1B if in case my EAD renewal gets delayed for some reason?
3) If I withdraw this pending H-1B now, can I reapply for another H-1B if my EAD gets stuck?

Topic: Interim EAD?

beachlover985,

You are right. I requested (by phone) an expedited processing for my I-765 and got approved after a week.

Topic: CPO but no Email

Thanks allblak. Today my LUD changed to "Approval Notice Sent." I think I should expect my EAD soon. Do you know what is the starting date on the EAD? Is it the date of first LUD (CPO) or something esle?

Topic: CPO but no Email

On the 14th of Octorber my status changed to ‘Card Production Ordered’, but I did not receive any email even though I have a portfolio on the USCIS website. Is it common not to receive an email, and how long it takes to physically receive the card after ‘Card Production Ordered’ LUD?

Topic: How long is the waiting time to receive the EAD?

After an additional two to three days, you will see another LUD (and email if you have signed up) saying "Approval notice sent." After this second LUD it will take around 5 days to get the card.
