My FP was done in Nov. 24th 2007. I have no idea how long we have to wait... I hope we will get it within a month or so.

Renewal mailed out to texas 4/7/09.
It was received in 4/9/09.
I received Recipt Notice yesterday, 4/16/09.

My husband's sponsoring company assigned him to be in Canada, so we stayed there for over a year.
We have just got back to the USA at the end of Dec..
He is EB 3 ROW, I-485 AOS as well. Have EAD and AP, but still on H1B.

My husband is not Canadian citizen ,so he obtained working visa from Canada for this job.
During 2008, I came home at least once a month for few days and head back to Canada.
My husband spent most of his time in Canada.

Speaking of the border, as long as you explain that you work for company A in the USA
and company A assigned you to be in the Canadian office for some period of time, I think
you will be OK.
We did not have any problems:)

This is my approved AP info..

I Called NSC on 8/29/08 & IO told me that my case was approved on 8/28/08.
Soft LUD on 9/1&9/2, yet I did not receive any e-mails and status was shown as Pending.
NSC mailed AP on 9/8/08 and I received it few days later.

I checked online today,10/2/08, and I saw new LUD/ status change for already approved AP.

Application Type: I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT
Current Status: Document mailed to applicant.
On October 1, 2008 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service

Am I going to receive AP again?!?

FYI, When my husband's AP was approved during last month, few weeks later than mine,
his online status changed and he received e-mail.

I have a question.
My husband is currently working for company A , sponser of GC, but
he has an opportunity to join company B by using AC21 and EAD.

I thought my husband was going to do so within this month, so I was about to start preparing paper work for him.
But yesterday, he said he is kind of worry to use EAD.
I do not think changing his job can lead I-485 denial, but he said he does not want to do
anything risky. He said he rather stay with company A till his GC is approved.
He said he is going to join company B when he gets his GC.
Company B said they can wait, but they would like him to join immediately if it is possible.

If I understood your post correctly, leaving company A and joining company B
right after his green card approval can be considered as GC fraud and he is going to be deported?
If so, I guess my husband should start working for company B immediately.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Hi All

My husband is going to file AC21 by himself.
New company will not support H1B visa, so he is going to use EAD.
(EB3 ROW. PD 9/1/2005. I-140 approved over 180 days. New position= Same as current. )

We signed G28 form for I-485 with our current lawyer, but after AC21, we do not want
him to deal with our cases any more, so I guess we need to file a new G28 form.

My questions are

(1) Can we file a new G28 by ourselves ?
or
We have to have a new lawyer to file a new G-28.

(2) Can we just call USCIS to request withdrawal of current G-28 for I-485
and inform us as representatives? (not filing a new G-28)

If you know anything, please let me know.

My husband does not have a middle name, so he typed "N" to proceed e-filing.
I found the post after he e-filed his AP, so
we decided to fax a letter to Texas center to explain why he had to type "N."
We have not hard anything from them so far.

My husband and I applied EAD in June, RD 6/4/08, NSC.
He received card production order e-mail on 7/2/08.
On 7/3/08, he received an another e-mail :
On July 3, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

My case is still pending.
Last year, my I-485 RN and FP notice took few weeks more than my husband's one, so
I guess EAD and AP are the same way.
I will wait at least few more weeks before I call USCIS.

Only some lucky people got approval within 30 days, like your wife and my husband.
When you check the tracker, you see the average processing time takes longer than that.
I do not think you have to worry much about your case:)

My husband ,H1B, & I, H4, had made few trips to Canada during last 6 mo., but we did not have any problems in/out
so far. As long as your visa is valid, you should not have any problems.

I am out of town and do not have soft copies of my original cover pages with me right now, so

E-file receipt confirmation page stated that use the print out confirmation page as a cover letter.
I attached the page and attached my cover letter as page2.

I do not know it is mandatory for paper-based application, but I usually attach cover letter for official doc..

If you request your lawyer to apply EAD and AP for you, I know he or she
attaches cover letter.
