Topic: April Processing Dates

Guys, it happened even in last month. Someone explained that they could have several servers. People from different areas are allocated to different servers. So the updating is in progress. Be patient.

Topic: approval notice has been received for 3 days. Still no card yet

it is not a letter from a friend, they will get to it.... some people cannot stop worrying in there life i guess

I think you are right. I may have worried too much. But I have a reason. I actually already received my card, almost the same time with my approval notice. But my wife's application was approved 19 days later. Her approval notice was received by mail 3 days ago. We are eager to see the actual card just to make sure that the name/picture/signature are hers. Why? Last year when she applied for EAD, she got a card with her name and someone else's picture and signature! It took us more than 6 months to finally get a corrected EAD card. Without seeing the correct card, we don't believe that the battle is over.

Are you kidding? They would never send it FedEx overnight, man! Wait at least a week 8()

Actually what I meant is that approval notice has been received through regular mail. My bad for the confusion.

Wondering if the card is lost in the mail.

Topic: Primary approved, but dependant pending. What could be the reason?

Finally my wife's 485 is approved on April 9th, 19 days after my approval.

Topic: No Welcome notice or approval email !

There is no need to worry this type of things. They tend to the emails in a random fashion. But as long as you are approved, you will get it. For me, here is the order:
1. Card ordered
2. Approval notice sent
3. Card ordered
4. Approval notice sent

Usually the first should be approval, then approval notice sent, then card ordered.

I received both anyway.

Topic: Change of Address question

You just need to change address online. It takes less time than asking here.

Topic: usCIS email on primary, no approval for dependent yet should I worry?

Same here.

One of my co-workers had the same thing. But it turned out to be a simple mistake in uscis. Her dependent was approved but uscis forgot to update the status. They received approval notices together. So you can pray that you are in the same situation with her while you are waiting for your notice.

For me, I already got the notice but nothing for my wife. So I am out of luck. I don't think that you can really do anything about it. Same when you are waiting for the approval of the primary applicant.

There are 2 ways to think about this situation. The negative side is, you can consider yourself enduring the torture twice. The positive side is, you can enjoy the excitement and celebrate twice when your dependent's application is approved.

Topic: Primary approved, but dependant pending. What could be the reason?

The reason ... as one IO told me - there are too many PRIMARIES to take care about :(

Interesting. Is there any policy/law saying that dependents get lower priorities than PRIMARIES? Most dependents got approved at the same time as Primaries.

Topic: Why NSC dates went back?

It's not unusual, if you keep track of previous dates. Last month it was TSC went back from May 24th to April 10th. Now it is NSC's turn. You should feel lucky because NSC's date is still better than TSC's.

BTW, they don't "calculate" the dates. They just need to put a date there every week. So they put whatever date they like.
