Topic: Immigration Reform is coming soon

Don't want to dishearten anyone but i guess its already said that even if FB and DV are scrapped, those in line currently will still be processed as-is. So don't think these measures will help us in our lifetime.

Make some noise folks- use #RESIST to oppose DT and his policies as you seem fit - not just Immigration.
If you are not on Twitter, get an account.

I guess its very important to oppose DT presidency and be united against his immigration plan. I'm sure without opposition - he and Jeff Sessions will run riots.

On a different note, one thing i always wonder since i came to US is why people on H1B pay social security and medicare/medicaid if they are in a non-immigrant visa class? These taxes should only be paid after one file for Immigrant classification. Give me my that money back and do whatever you like!

Great to hear that these cases will be certified ....anyone else in same boat and any idea when these cases will be certified?
I know communication said 'months' - but did not specify duration. Its already over a month.

Is someone hearing anything?

Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

Hi,
Received RFE on H4 EAD today. Please let me know if someone faced the same situation.
Basis for H4 EAD is spouse's PERM pending for more then 365 days(not approved). RFE is asking for confirmation that
extension was granted based on AC21 106(A),(B) and PERM filed for 365 days before 6th year expiry. I already provided them proof of primary's all I-797s and passport copies(all pages) and I-94s. I don't have all I-94s but provided all the once i had.
Also provided them DOL screenshot that show PERM is pending and e-mail sent to employer indicating ETA 9089 was received. Not sure what else to provide.

Spouse is in 9th year of H1B, there were 2 PERMs filed and first one(filed before 6th year expiry) was revoked when 2nd one was filed. I provided them DOL screenshot of 2nd PERM which is pending. Should i provide proof of 1st PERM as well?
Please advise if you or someone you know had similar situation.

Thanks.

$380 fee for H4 EAD - is it payable by personal check or cashiers's check?
Just to confirm - payable to 'US Department of Homeland Security '?

Surprisingly, didn't find this info on USICS website.

Its the same process as filing extension before 6 year expiration :) . Nothing special about it. Just that you also need to add proof of pending labor.

Topic: My Case is Received : USCIS status check H1b Extension

My case was received @ California center on 1-Apr-2015 and still in 'Case was received' status.....not sure what the hell is happening.....i see approvals has come for this center for people whose receive date is as late as in mid April!

don't even have license anymore now given the stupid CA state laws. When federal govt can allow stay for 240 days while extension is in-process, why can't state give license based on pending extension? These inconsistent laws are really annoying.
