Topic: Strage story- Take a listen!

I got the PR visa stamp in October 2007 and before I know it, I got a call from Buffalo Consulate asking for my passport back because of some "computer error". They stamped a 'Cancelled Without Prejudice" stamp and mailed me back the passport. When my lawyer inquired about this never-heard-of occurrence, they replied they prematurely stamped the visa and they're currently consulting other government agencies. Can anybody guess what these government agencies are? Just being curious!

Topic: "Cancelled Without Prejeduce" visa

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't actually looking for the meaning as much as I was wondering has it ever happened to anyone around here and what was the reason.

Topic: "Cancelled Without Prejeduce" visa

Has anybody come across a case when the Buffalo office requested back the passport and stamped the "Cancelled Without Prejeduce" on the immigrant visa? Any known reason? I heard it was a computer crash or something.

Topic: FBI record request

You can't tell FBI that you need it ASAP, they don't go by YOUR request, they go by their procedures. They will send it as soon as they finish the process, which as you mentioned takes 16 to 18 weeks.

Topic: 'Cancelled Without Prejudice' Immigrant visa.

Buffalo Consulate recently called asking me to send the passport back to them and ultimately cancel the immigrant visa. When asked about the reason in a phone conversation, they said it was a computer's mistake. I will keep you posted on this unprecedented incident.

Topic: Landing procedures and processing time.

Any body can shed light on the landing procedures and how long it takes to actually get hold of the green card itself.

Thanks!
