Thanks for posting the link. We have this document for over 10 days now. But because we work under trust-based relationship, we need to be responsible so we cannot announce or make such information public unless cleared by the right folks.

This is only part of the report that was planned to be announced around 10-12 days back. The larger set of fixes is even more meaningful and we are confident that it will positively help a lot of immigrants and US workers.

As we said earlier, it will be unfair if we preempt the official announcement. Our members already know that immigration lawyers or their advocacy organizations, or, employers or their trade groups/associations were not, and, will not, push for fixes that will set free immigrant employees from their clutches of employers and immigration lawyers. IV is the ONLY organization that advocated for these fixes and created the awareness for the need for these fixes based on the first hand experienced of our members. These and other fixes are the direct result of IV's advocacy over the years. And like our members we can't wait anymore for the official announcement :-)

Back in second half of 2014 when every news article and lawyer was claiming recapture and dependents exemption to be slam dunk, we saw the legal and policy bottlenecks for recapture and dependents exemption, and we asked for the set of fixes that will help free immigrant employee's dependence on employer. Back then people, including lawyer association ridiculed us. They said - these fixes will NEVER happen. As we have shared earlier, we believe that asking for recapture and dependents exemption fix back in 2014 was a diversion for us to ask for fixes that were unlikely to happen, so people like us would not ask for meaningful fixes that are possible.

Well, guess what, the fixes that IV has advocated are on the horizon because we did not take the bait on the diversion. But as our fixes are around the corner, we request all our members to please hold off for the official announcement because the announcement will have more fixes in addition to the fixes posted by Greg. We thank Greg for posting this blog because we could not have posted this message for the reasons described above. Quite frankly, Greg is one of the only few immigration lawyers that we like. However, we are also waiting for the official announcement of other fixes including allowing filing Adjustment of Status when the date is not current on VB, plus, significant movement of VB dates. We have already reported these fixes many a times.

In the end, when these fixes will finally be announced, we all will have a lot to be thankful for to the volunteers of IV who several times traveled to DC to lend their stories to make the case for these fixes, and, we also need to be thankful of the open-minded, honest and sincere DHS & WH staff, who listened and wanted to do the right thing, which is our fixes are now finally happening.

But in the meantime, hang-in there. And before anyone starts celebrating, please wait for the official announcement of entire package of fixes (i.e. report). There is finally going to be light at the end of the tunnel.

Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

If you don't do anything it may publish quickly, officers will get irritated with all these craps. Do you guys really think tweets, faxes, emails really worked? You guys should sit back and think about it. Any one in this forum got any concrete reply from any of these offices? Only organization had clear information about these rules were the only organization works for EB community.
It is good to make noises but stupid to think that online petitions and tweets worked. I know most of these forum members has different opinion about this, but should accept reality.

Not true. I-140 fee has to be paid by employer, if employee want to process in premium then that's upto either party.

Well said, if anyone think otherwise, then it is ignorance. If some one leak out information from government agency then he/she shouldn't be working there. before joining to any government agency one have to do lot of paper work, it is applicable to contractors also.

Topic: EAD for H4 Visa Holders

Hi Guys,
We do not need another organization and organizers if we are serious and united. Immigrationvoice.org is already doing the work. They need volunteers and money. Better to have only one organization with large number than many small organizations with small number. We learned that flowers, tweets, emails didn't worked in the past, it will not work in the future too. I am not discouraging you guys, the fact need to accept. Partner with IV they are also fighting for the same reason for years, they are running short of money and volunteers, we know that IV has good reputation in D.C. tractitt is nothing, this is just a platform to communicate nothing more than, site admins need more visit to get money from advertisements. Barking in this site and forcing USCIS and DHS will not work anything. This is not India, this is US.
