Topic: Landing and Goods to Follow Declaration(Especiall NewCar)

Hi Tom,

I called up RIV at 1-888-848-8240 and checked with them. According to them you should have all the documents when you are physically importing the car. According to him at this moment it is ok to declare the VIN number and should be good because i am planning to do the landing through road and by a rental car.

I would suggest if you can call them too and check the same and update. Thanks

Topic: Landing and Goods to Follow Declaration(Especiall NewCar)

Hi All,

i just purchased a new car in US last week. I am planning to do landing in canada in next week and then come back to US and i need to declare my new car in the good to follow list. Since my car is financed and i do not have the title, so my question is what documents shall I carry so that i can add my new car to the goods to follow list.

i do have the temporary registration issued by the dealer and the financing documents which have the vin number of the car and also i will be carrying the insurance documents of the car. i am not sure if these are sufficient or i need to carry something else.

Thanks and please suggest

Topic: Some useful information about Alberta AINP (for newbies)

most of the companies can have program Analyst as the job code on the I797 and even a manager can have the same. What matters is the designation you are holding and the job responsibilities you are handling which sould be described in your employee verification letter and as long as it matches with NOC code you are applying for you are good to go.

hope this helps

Hi,

I have been reading forums answers and questions. My question is towards NOC code 0213. Some senior member said that your I797,LCA and employer reference letter must say manager.

My question is if you came 2 years before to US and your employer filed I797 as Programer Analyst and say 60K salary, you do not get new I797 when your employer gives you promotion or salary hike, say now you are lead Programer Analyst as of now and you get employer reference letter telling all duties matched with NOC code 0213 but your I797 is old what do you do in that case?

Are you eligible or not?

Please suggest.

Please have a look at the answers below and hope it will help.I am assuming you do not have approved nomination from Alberta yet

**************************
dear Sukhwinder, i hope you could make sometime to reply me, i am doing lot of research but couldnt find more answers so plz help me with these set of questions.

Hi i am planning to apply for Alberta under US Visa holder category, i have been working in US from 5 years, can i send the application form first with out any police clearance certificates and then later once i get it can i send them to Alberta..? - PCC are not needed while sending your approval for Alberta Nomination. They are needed once you get the approval and apply for Canadian immigration.

and what should the police certificate say if we get it from inida, is there any literature? seems like the police certificate from Texas and Arizona may take 14-16 weeks, so can i apply firsta nd then send these when i get back from Police...
- You can apply to the Indian Consulate in US and they take 3-4 weeks to issue the same. Again this is not a show stopper for sending your Nomination application to Alberta

can i send the personal checks? and do i need to send it with the application. - no Money is required for applying to Alberta. It is needed once you get the approval.

do i need to come to alberta as soon as i get the GC there? - They give some grace period which is usually one year from the date your medicals are done. Your medical request comes once you send the documents to CIC after submitting the approved nomination from Alberta

plz answer these questions, any body who is in teh smae boat mail me on

gyanarc@yahoo.com or call me on 480-208-3315, if you want to descuss while applying...

Hi Sukhminder / ALL,

Seems like file is transferred to the local office once the medicals are done. I do not understand what it means. My case is pending with Buffalo office and i am in US. So not sure where will my file be getting tranferred or this is for applicants who are residing in Canada.

i was looking at some other forums and seems like CIC tend to ask for new pcc once file is transferred to local office. i was wondering if i need to do something regarding this.

Hi All \ Sukhminder,

I have to send my PCC to CIC. My question is, if there is a template or document which needs to be placed as part of the process for updating CIC. I am not sure if a simple application containing the AOR number and purpose of sending the document will work. Thanks

Topic: Expectin my baby, shall I inform the visa office now?

Hi Joy / All,

Thanks for your detailed response and appreciate it. Though i have following questions for you and in case you have certain recommendations for the same.

1) If i get all the medicals done and get the request for PPR before the baby is born say sometime in November and that will be too aggressive to move to Canada. Will it be possible to delay the Passport request until we include new born in the application.
2) if in middle of this I have to go back to INDIA as my assignment may end in US then will the immigration process get affected or i just need to update them regarding my status and things will still keep going. I am an approved Alberta provincial nominee.
3) Any idea how long the process takes the moment we send the passport for the new born to CIC (Buffalo) which includes application and medical.

Topic: Wife Pregnant. - Medical not possible - Suggestions Pls

Hi harry,

i just called the doctor again and they said that they do not recommend it but if you want you can do it but you will have to sign a waiver form, which makes sense.

i guess the question is if we agree with the theory of X-rays in planes and assuming doing X-ray in pregnancy is safe than my question is you will have to add your new born at some point of time to your application. how will that work because i have read in the blogs that you should not make a landing unless you add your new born to your application. I mean if the child is born in US and we get the PR before that than how to include babies name in the application.

On the other hand if you go ahead with the medicals and do not do the x-ray than th file will be on hold unless we notify CIC about the new baby and they will send new application and medical for the newly born. not sure if this make sense.

Thanks for your response.

Topic: Expectin my baby, shall I inform the visa office now?

Hi Shouka / All,

My wife is expecting our baby in dec-09 and i am expecting my medical forms from CIC by end if june. My question is should we do the medical exams apart from my wife X-ray and than doctor will send the papers to CIC or shall we wait till the end and than do the medicals later on.

If we do the medicals right now and X-ray later on formy wife than how it will affect our landing date because as far as i know they give the landing date with in one year of from the day medicals were done.

Appreciate you response and help on this.

Hi Arty11,

I am in the same boat. I am expecting my medical request in another three weeks. Will appreciate if you can share your findings and plan with me. I am not sure if we should still do the medicals and the x-ray later on for my wife so wait till the end. We are expecting our baby in Dec-09.

I read different advice from people and i am sure you would have done some more research on this.
