Topic: dependent finally approved

Yes! Actually my lawyer sent in my check for my advance parole and ead renewals. My lawyer thinks checks trigger I485 movement. It could have been that, or the fact I had my congressman look into my case again, or pure luck. Who knows with these guys and this process.

Yes! Thanks for your kind words. It's been a long road here. 10 years plus and tens of thousands of dollars in various visa fees and lawyers fees, etc. My husband and I can FINALLY celebrate and I will make him take me out for a mighty fine steak dinner.

All the very best to you all here. I have no advice other than to persevere and trust. I did contact my congressman again recently so maybe he had something to do with my approval. Be proactive guys - do all you can to push your case through.

cheers!

Topic: dependent finally approved

I wanted to give you dependents out there some good news. I got the CRIS email today that my card production was ordered. My spouse (primary) was approved on March 11 and mine (dependent) was approved today. I wanted to give the dependents some hope.

Good luck all!

Topic: Dependent approvals

We had several threads going on this subject but nothing for the past week or so. I'm wondering if any of the dependent's waiting for approval have seen any movement as of late. My husband (primary) was approved on March 11 but I am still waiting and my last LUD was in September of 2007.

Any updates for those dependents who jumped on the threads earlier?

Topic: I 485 approval for my spouse

I am in the same boat too. Husband (primary) approved March 11 and I am still waiting with zero word despite opening SR#'s and contacting my congressman. Who knows what is happening...

I've tried many, many times. My congressman looked into it with no luck and I had two SR's that went no where. Literally. Still in limbo and frustrated about it.

Topic: I 485 approval for my spouse

Husband (primary) approved March 11 and I (dependent) am still waiting with zero movement on my file. No LUD's since September, PD and RD all well past processing dates. I will have to renew AP and EAD at the end of this month which will cost me about $800. Bummer.

Topic: Child's I-485 pending

My husband (primary) was approved on March 11 and I (dependent) have not been approved yet. Files that get submitted together get separated. I had my congressman investigate it, have opened up service requests (that have expired) with zero response back - and I wait. It is frustrating but there is little you can do besides calling and making an inquiry.

Topic: In BIG DILEMMA

Just go in today and give your two week's notice and quit. Do it gracefully but follow your heart and get out of there. You must protect yourself.

Please do not worry about reaching out to this community. You are in pain and you need support and we are here for you. Try your hardest to leave this company gracefully. Do not quit via email. I know you want your pain to end but present them with a letter of resignation and do all you can to exit with grace. Breathe, pray to your source, be calm, and know this will be over for you soon and the universe will provide.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. You should not feel like an indentured servant. It must be so demoralizing. Please do what you think is best for YOU. If this situation is hurting you and you already have your greencard maybe you should do a good job of documenting the abuse and strain, contact an attorney to see what they say, and ultimately quit. I feel badly that you feel you must stay in a job where you are being abused.

Topic: Urgent - please help! unemployment benefits dependent waiting for I-485 approval

I am waiting for my I-485 approval, husband (primary) has been approved and my PD and RD are all outside processing times (PD 2004, RD June 15, 2007). I HATE MY JOB and want to quit. Does anyone know if I can claim unemployment benefits now with an EAD? Can I claim unemployment benefits once I get my greencard? I've been working for years and my greencard approval could come tomorrow or in 3 years. No way of knowing.

PLEASE answer this question if you know the answer. I am at the end of my rope.

Topic: Just talked to Nebraska

I spoke with Natalie in Nebraska and she couldn't be nicer. Honestly. I explained my PD is 2004 and my reciept date is 06/07 and my husband (primary) has been approved and I am nervous because this is an invisible process. We started chit chatting about other stuff and I told her that I feel like my case could be approved today or in 3 years and there is no way of knowing. She was sympathetic but urged me to keep on top of it and if I haven't heard mid-May call back. She urged me to keep on top of things. Ultimately, not sure it helps but at least she was nice, encouraging, and professional.

Topic: dependent approval updates?

Are there any EB3 ROW dependents who have been approved in Nebraska lately? Does anyone have updates? My husband was approved on March 11 but I am still waiting to be assigned to an officer for processing.

And believe me, white Canadian's don't get special treatment either. The immigration saga is 10 years long and counting for me AND my mom has American citizenship. I'm not saying the system ISN'T racist. I'm just saying I have been suffering through it too.

Well, I called ONCE and have a legitimate claim. But it really isn't worth the frustration that is for sure.

It means nothing. They just want you to go away. I called mid March and they put in a service request. I just got my second letter from my congressman that they are going to put my file in the queue to be assigned to an officer. My husband (primary) has been approved already and my pd date is mid 2004 and they are processing as of 2006 according to the bulletin. They just say what they have to to get you off the phone. Yes, I am cynical.

Topic: Anything that I need to/can do?

The same thing happened to me. My husband (primary) was approved March 11, 2008. My approval is nowhere in sight and I have not had LUD's. My PD date is April 2004 and they are working on 2006 cases. I opened an SR request mid March. No action. My congressman looked into it and I just got a letter from them on Saturday. They say that my case is now being added to the queue to be assigned to an officer for processing but they make no committments to how long the process will take but said if I do not hear back within 60 days to contact them again. Basically - they make no committment and my file is likely sitting in a box somewhere which is super annoying.

My husband (primary) was approved on March 11 and I still wait. Congressman has not been helpful so far. My PD is April 2004.
