Pay the fee and avoid further legal problems with Uncle Sam! He is relentless and won't stop until he gets his money!

$340 is nothing compare to what you have coming. Next time, be more patient!

Topic: About i-797C, approval notice

Yes, it is.

In addition to this number, your I-766 card will display your A#, if you have one.

Topic: Card Mailed but not have physically received yet

You're welcome. I'm glad that info was put to good use.

barisda,

If you don't receive it or find it within two weeks, report to USCIS if you have not done so. By reading your post, I assume you have moved. If you did, you probably changed your address with USCIS. This could have caused some confusion at USCIS.

The actual envelope where the I-766 card is enclosed does not have any legend or logo identifying it with USCIS. The mail carrier would not know if he/she delivered your card. The way this is handled is similar to when you receive a credit card! This is a measure to avoid fraud (having your card stolen).

Notices of action do use USCIS labeled envelopes.

You have the same dates I have. I received my card on August 4. You should have received your card already. Check with your attorney, or call USCIS asap.

Another possiblity is an error by the US mail service. Sometimes the mailperson misplaces mail in the wrong boxes. I know it sucks. It has happened to me!

Topic: EAD Timeline

If you want to play it conservative, apply 120 days before your expiration date (this is the earliest you may apply).

If you want to take a little risk, apply 90 days before your expiration date.

Topic: Bad news for EB3s, PDs might go back in October

Employment Third preference cut-off dates are “unavailable” for both August and September, since those FY-2008 annual limits have been reached. The Visa Office had originally anticipated that this would be a temporary situation. Then with the start of the new fiscal year in October the cut-off dates would have returned to those which had applied during June. However, continued heavy demand in those categories may require the establishment of cut-off dates which are earlier than those which had applied in June. A formal decision determination of the October cut-off dates will not be possible until early September.
