Topic: AUSTRALIAN PR or CANADIAN PR--Which is BETTER?
Australia / Canada / UK/ Its all the same, anyway, you got to start afresh in those countries to build a life.
Agreed on the common perception of racism being more rampant in Australia than Canada / US
I think intrinsically we humans will always have differences. Race, caste, color, whatever!!
Its about where you want to live and how you want to move on getting over it.
But There is not much difference in the standard of living which I think should be the primary matter of concern. |
Topic: AUSTRALIAN PR----IS IT EASY TO GET?
You are one of those who is bitten by a FORIEGN bug. I wonder why people consider other countries as backup plan? Especially when India is doing so good. This only shows that how much competitive you are. If you are really good in what you do, you should not really worry. Well having said that, each individual has his right for desires, dreams, etc to suite his living. Best of luck my firend
I think , there is nothing to do with the foreign bug buddy.
These days, the foreign bug is not exactly rampant back in india especially with international travel being a given thing now.
As someone said, its more to do with standard of living. Some people want to go for fulltime master's programs, start a business, buy a home, settle down and stuff. With this 6-8 year carrot dangling in front of us by USCIS in the name of PR, sometimes its easy to lose sight of other goals in life.
First generation immigration is a symbiotic relationship. If the US is not willing, so be it. There are plenty of other opportunities to explore for folks and that has nothing to do with competitiveness of the individual as such.
Economy or no Economy, USA / Canada/Australia/India, you got to be good at what you do to end up somewhere or the other. |
Topic: AUSTRALIAN PR----IS IT EASY TO GET?
can anyone answer the question below?
is there any restrictions in Aus PR like you have to be there for 3 years minimum out of 5 yrs etc. like canada, we have you must be there for atleast 2 years out of 5 years. In australia do you know the minimum requ?
Yes!! |
Topic: Green Card - a distant dream
At least they have a transparent system, compared to the mess here.... |
Topic: Green Card - a distant dream
Time to move to Canada.....I am out of here next year.
Sick of USCIS dangling carrots and leading us to a mirage...... |
Topic: US Economy sinks in to Recession!!!!!!!!!
You think, they understand the prominence of it ...with this little brain, i can understand that if GC's are given to good earning people who are on H1B, they can float money into the market which can eventually help the economy... will they think it this way?
I bet they won't.
Besided, I would say that the number of earning people would be too less to make an impact as such to bail the economy. But I sure would buy a home if they give me a GC... :( |
Topic: EB3 ROW October VB Prediction
Personally, I dont think the EB3 ROW will retrogress much if not retrogress at all......
If USCIS had Mar 2006 cut off dates for the June 08 Bulletin with only the last quarter of visas to go, it can't be so bad once the whole new fiscal year starts with a new lot of visas.
But thats me just and my simple thinking.....who knows what USCIS is upto? |
Topic: Different A numbers on I-485 and I-140 receipt notices
I have the same.
From what I have read in the forums earlier, there are quite a few folks and its not an issue as long as the A# number on the I485 receipt, EAD and the AP are the same. |
Topic: LUD on Approved I765 and I131!!
Yesterda, I had LUDs on my already approved I765 and I131 along with my pending I485.
Wierd, that there would be an LUDs on approved documents....
Just wanted to check whether anyone else had similar experiences and any idea what is it for? |
Topic: painful situation
Lets say tomorrow I want to visit my friend in Canada, then technically I can still complete my landing process while going to meet him (though my intent is not to LIVE in canada or anything but to save time and effort on the Tourist/Visitor visa to Canada)
.
Then, technically, you are commiting immigration fraud against Canada if this was your true intent. Which, in turn, demonstrates that your moral standards are low enough to commit fraud. Which, in turn, shows to US governmnet (information sharing with Canada is on the rise!) that you are not a person of "a good moral character". Which, in turn, makes you ineligible for US citizenship in the future. Which, in turn, makes you inadmissable for the purpose of obtaining US permanent residence if you don't have one already. Which, in turn, leads to a probability to end up in a situation OP is now.
Lol :) ....I am going nowhere.... |
