Topic: BFD and BF date in CAIPS note

Does anyone know the difference between BF'D date (bring forward) and BF (??) date ?

There is one year and one week difference between those 2 dates in my caips notes so I was wondering whether anyone knows ?

No still NO NEWS so far.

I will surely update my case on trackitt if anything comes up.

I don't think we should worry too much, it was holidays season, hopefully we will get it this month.

hi

don't worry!
Also by the way your religion has nothing to do with the screening.

I know that there are people who are waiting more than us. Just got to know from another forum that someone has been waiting for more than 6 months.

We just have to be patient that 's all! It is hard for us too. Everyday we are hoping ... if you check this trackitt you will see other "August Meds" who are still here, assuming it is updated.

My spouse is from India and we are both in USA with H1b visa and we have applied through Buffalo. Our case is neat and clear just that we lived in various countries.

Screening are done in 3 steps: background (checking the authenticity of documents you sent with your application) , security (checking if you are not a terrorist) and criminality (related to your PCCs). Usually the second one takes the longest as it is done by CSIS independently from CIC.

If you are in USA I don't understand why you had to send a photocopy of your Indian PCCs. My spouse got it from the General Consulate of India, it cost $20 and it takes 4 weeks. It is quick and neat. They need ORIGINAL and not photocopy and in India it is always a pain in the neck to get things. I don't know why you had to do this in India while you can do it through Indian embassies/consulates in USA.

I don't think your delay is about the photocopy of your Pccs because if they are not happy with it they usually ask you to send an original right away however this could be a reason ... once again why didn't you do it in USA ??

don't panic! This is normal and we are in the same situation. You should order your CAIPS note to find out details.
Security/background screening takes longer if they have to contact other government offices, it says in the rules as one of the factor that delays the process.

We are also waiting for PPR and are delayed for the same reason. Usually it happens when you lived/worked in different countries than your own. This is our case and my guess it is yours too.

cnstudd,

for your ecas don't bother too much it is not reliable anyway.

I wondered maybe you can't see it because your name in the system may be mispelled or your date of birth or country of origin may be mistaken since you need to put all this info to see your ecas status that could be the reason. Any silly thing may be screwed. Why don't you check your AOR and see how they spelled your name or date of birth maybe it can help. Just a thought.

I alos feel good to see I am not the only one. I wish I could get PPR before Christmas
