Topic: FLR -HSMP - Applying from UK

Hi Mammu,
Congrats for your HSMP Approval.

As per the funds are concerned. There is no hard and fast rule that you have to show a minimum figure in you back account. But its adviced that you show liquid funds that can help you survive in the UK for atleast 3-4 months without a job. Intention is to make sure you will not use any public funds from the government.

And for your second question, Yes there is a place in page3 Q11, where you enter your email address. If you have not got your reference number you can call the HO and request one.

Hope this helps.

Topic: INITIAL SETTLEMENT TASKS AFTER LANDING IN UK ON HSMP VISA

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would add my 2cents of advice aswell for those who need to know before coming to the uk,

Phone Number will play a vital role in you job hunts. Unlike in India you dont get easily phone/sim, well not exactly but you will have two options ..
1. Pay As You Go (Prepaid)
2. Monthly Contract (min of 12 months) Most economical and you get a phone hand set free.

BUT.. Contracts are given only to those who can setup a direct debit from your bank. Since you will not have bank account immediately. You might want to go for "Pay As you Go " . Phone bills might rip you off if you are a good chatter ;-) . No offence to be taken please. I would say get your phone along with you and you can get a free sim. Then you can check which plan suits you untill you take your back account ..

Hope this helps.. All the best for you all.

Also .. for those who are sendaholics .. beware of Credit Cards.. They are very handy and can be deamons if misutilised..

Cheers

Topic: Osmania university degree in NARIC

Check this link out. May be it will help..
www.sheffield.ac.uk/content/1/c6/06/46/24/India.doc

I am from osmania as well.. But the question is do you need NARIC approval. Well, I would say NARIC approval is only required if you are giving alternative evidence like a "professional Qualification" as far as I understand. In your case i dont think NARIC approval is required.
