Thanks for your advice.
Actually, I don't quite know how registering for international editorial panels works. I'd appreciate if you could shed a bit light on it.

I got few links after searching the trackitt forum for "journal review" and then also I searched internet for few similar. Once you review 1-2 then these websites send you more. If you want to invest time and energy, it is possible to review 20 in 6 months.

Topic: citations for EB1A vs EB-1B

I also heard the citation cutoff number 150 from VC and other lawyers at NSC

My lawyer at Barry Appleman said a interesting thing. If any person has enough good profile to qualify for EB-1A then he/she will certainly qualify EB-1B in NSC. He stressed on reviewing/judging others work to justify the part 2 analysis of "international acclaim"

So, if anyone has low citation, try to get letter from citing authors mentioning that particular research is very important specially when the filed has low citation overall. I have seen one person EB-1A approved with only 1 citation. His work was in civil engineering concrete construction and filed itself has very low number of citation.

Also, try to be a reviewer as well as journal editors panel.

Did you provide any letters from your citing authors saying that your research is absolutely very important for the paper that they published.

I believe you are a strong candidate for O-1. Please use a VC or a very good lawyer. While you are waiting for O-1 to file, if possible, register in some international journal editorial/review panels. You can also sign up for a conference review panel member. This will improve your profile. Good luck.

I filed on Nov 2, 2016 right before Dhanasar matter.
I got an RFE in Sep 2017 and they questioned my proposed endeavor and mentioned that I didn't have a clear future plan in my application since I was still a PhD student. At the time of RFE, I was working full-time for 5 months then Chen said it's a very easy RFE since I had a job. We replied the RFE and after a month I got the denial.
They questioned pronged 1 and 3. The officer clearly made several errors. One obvious error was my salary. He had not even paid attention to the paychecks we sent. He stated that I get $1300 monthly which was what I got during my PhD, not from my job. Victoria Chen called me herself and was totally shocked about what happened to my case. She said, that specific officer EX0011 has been adjudicating EB1a and NIW at the same time. She said s/he might have confused my case to an EB1a.

Very unfortunate. I experienced a similar situation in 2010-2011 and totally understand your situation.
I was also shocked here after reading about your case like VC.
Finish you PhD first, get some time to improve your profile. Review some journals and get into few editorial panels and reapply in a year or two. Request VC about her "fee guarantee coverage" if she hadn't already done so. I suggest prepare for O-1 for now and secure yoyr job abd stay and then re-apply later.

Here is our interview experience in details on January 19th at SFO.

We checked in about an hour earlier. The officer picked us up from the waiting room. The officer was very polite. She had our files opened in her office. We started by taking oath. She asked for original passport, EAD and DLs. She went through our last US entry visa and I-94. She asked whether we applied for GC previously and what was the outcome if any. I mentioned that we are waiting for my approved I-140 (EB2I-NIW) since 2010 to be current. She said “I really feel sorry for you guys”. She verified all I-485 information, point by point. Updated the address, phone number etc. She took my updated I-94. She updated my address herself from my Interview notice. Confirmed mine and my spouses name, address and DOB.
She asked few I-485 yes/no questions for me and my spouse. Asked the primary applicant about the job description and asked question in order to understand it correctly.
Asked to check original birth certificates and check each individual document and asked questions. Asked to show the original marriage certificate. Then asked about our story where we told her how/when we met and how long we knew each other. She was making a note while we were telling the story. She then asked if we wanted to submit any documents. So we gave her copies of joint bank statements, mortgage documents, registration of our 3 cars. She kept the copies in our file. We also showed photos and she asked questions about our family members. She asked us to give only the copies printed on regular A4 paper so that it’s easy to keep along with other documents in our file. She said our file should be updated within 30 days and we received the text updates within 1 hour that “New card is been produced”. We are currently waiting for the cards to be mailed.

Documents:
Passports, DLs, EADs, birth certificate, J-1 waiver marriage certificate, children’s birth certificates, latest I-94, joint bank statements, utilities statements, family pictures etc.

They asked me under oath, if you were ever arrested or tried in court? That's all. If they ask you were you ever went to court to pay fines? That answer will be different. The interview letter itself said any citation below $500 fine is not important. But, divorce any other general court proceedings should be mentioned and the original order might be asked.

They are not interested for anything that has a fine below $500. My lawyer told traffic tickets are not important if they are not DUI related. They only ask for either arrest record, court proceedings or jail terms. So, you will be fine for traffic tickets.

We had interview yesterday at SFO field office. It went very smooth. They asked for usual documents and kid’s birth certificates. The officer was very polite. The online status update changed in 45 minutes and now showing card production has been ordered. Hopefully we will receive the card by end of next week. I will post the details later.

Thank you for detailed experience of the interview. Ours are scheduled on Jan 19th. Hope everything works out fine. Our lawyer told us to carry pretty much everything. Only one question: do you carry your SSN card?
