Topic: Address changed in Online--Misspelled

I had similar situation. While I changed my address online, I did a mistake- her last name was repeated twice due to that, we did not receive her FP notice. We took lawyers' copy of her FP notice and every thing went well and got approved. I called the USCIS service to fix the error though.

Topic: 485 RFE Process

My spouse case was approved in a week after the case was resumed. The case was resumed on the same day the USCIS received RFE response.

Topic: Should I get my medical exam done for I693

I filed in Aug 2007, couldnt find a doctor's appt and my lawyers said its ok to submit without 693. I guess I will get a RFE due to this? Should I get my medicals done now or is it better to wait for the actual RFE.

Thx

My spouse got an RFE for medical due to improper documentation by the dr. and the uscis wanted current documentation so, we had to send the new medical reports. So, If you have all immunizations up-to-date, then its better to wait for RFE. This is just my thought.

Topic: Waiting for dependent 485 decision ......anyone?

Hi,

I recently got my 485 approved but the 485 of my spouse (only dependent on the primary application) is still pending.
I called the TSC using the POJ method today and they told me that her application is seperated from mine and currently is not assigned to anyone.

They dont know when it will be picked up .....

Is anyone else in the similar situation .....

Any ideas on what I could do to get my spouse's application processed before DOS decides to roll back the visa dates....

Thanks,

Was their any RFE for your spouse case? If so, what is the online case status now?

Topic: RFE and Approval

My and my kids I-485 werre approved but my wife got an RFE for her medical ( RFE for improper documentation of immunization records by doctor). The RFE response received date was August 15/2008. Does anyone have idea how long it normally takes to get a decision in such a case?

Topic: Should I be grateful or What?

gcdy,

That was happened to her too. First they sent the confirmation letter with wrong name (Repeated last name). I called the USCIS and request to fix the error, then they sent the next conf. letter with a wrong address. Finally, her green card came to us with a hybrid address. I checked very carefully if there is any other error in the green card, seems perfect.

Topic: Should I be grateful or What?

Guys, I just wanted to share my experience about the change of address:

I changed my address online for my entire family. We received the FP notice for one of our daughters to the old address eventhough we received the confirmation letter of her change of address. My Old address was like

3 ABC Ave
XYZ, GA 12356

and My new address is like:
9 DEF Trail
MNO, GA 12345

Today, I received her forwarded GC to my new address. The intersting thing is, the GC was first sent to the address (that was the combination of my old and new address) like:

3 ABC Ave
MNO, GA 12356.

Thanks god, the GC was not lost.

Topic: Change of address experience..

You should receive a confirmation for address change in a week or so after you changed it online. We received the confirmation letter of change of address one week after we changed our address. Later, we found that FP notice for our one of daughter was sent to our old address and I called the USCIS and found out that her address has not been changed in the system eventhough we have received the confirmation letter. So, everything seems to be possible.
