Topic: Entered on AP Then changed to H1B -> Whats my class of admission

What do you mean you changed to H1B? How did you change? Did you EAD anytime?

Well Using AP does not invalidate ones H1. I applied for re-instating H1 status and it got approved.

So I am on H1B now after entering on AP.

Thanks

Topic: Entered on AP Then changed to H1B -> Whats my class of admission

Hi,

I am applying for a AP Renewal. I entered on AP last time and then changed to H1B, which was approved.

Whats should I fill as my class of admission on the form I-131.

I think its H1B, as per Cronin's memo.

" An alien who was an H-1 or L-1 nonimmigrant, but who was paroled pursuant to a grant of advance parole, may apply for an extension of H-1 or L-1 status, if there is a valid and approved petition. If the Service determines the alien's application for an extension of nonimmigrant status, the decision granting such an extension will have the effect of terminating the grant of parole and admitting the alien in the relevant nonimmigrant classification. "

Pls confirm

Thanks

Topic: Good News...

Do not worry guys I am back. The good news that all with 2004-2005 PDs who received RFEs have visa numbers added to them and will soon be greened.
Everyone will see a nice forward movements of both EB2-EB3 from Nov'08 VB. However, they will adjucate couple of completed cases in October also

Unless ur talking about ROW, for India , how can 2005 PD get greened soon in Nov '08' . Thats a bit 2 early for the PD to march so ahead..... its just 1 month

They dont do that. Thats income for them. without immigration, they dont get money. you know how much money they generate through immigration. For example, look at USCIS. how much they charge for 1 application.

another example of these "insoups" being nothing more than a 4th graders.... according to them...congress will combat the sluggish economy by saying that USCIS gets more money from Immigrant applications... wow great !!!!!!! man u need to get a Nobel prize....

ead seeker,

how can u even think abt cutting immigration.

They dont do that. Thats income for them. without immigration, they dont get money. you know how much money they generate through immigration. For example, look at USCIS. how much they charge for 1 application.

No chance of reducing the immigrants will happen. yes, of course reducing the illegal will happen because they are not paying tax. there also selfish nature of americans. There is no humanity in this country. They are reluctant to even pass HR5882 because they want money and doesnt want anyone to say here permananetly.

legal immigration is a huge source of income for this country. cutting the legal immigration results in cutting their income. so even in recession, they will encourage more people to come here and invest money.

Its time people like eadseeker and eb1 desi talk sense. It seems these guys are immersed so much in unproductive threads, they lost sense of inteligence. look at a guy like eB1. he did Phd and ended up doing nonsense threads in this forum

I think he is trying to get PHd through trakitt. I guess by posting most number of nonsense threads (about 2053 right now. wow....)

iaminsoup - finally u have proved ur as idiot and stupid as ur twins sajdelhi and werinsoup. read my post with a lens....I said they CANNOT stop immigrants but if the economy is bad they might limit the H1B's for the SOLE purpose of staisfying the conservativeds in this country that since there are LESS Jobs in market, they do NOT need more foreign workers. I am putting forth just a scenario.....dosent mean I am opposing anything...My fried I am also H1B waiting for GC just like u.

What is it in this argument you and ur idiotic twins do not understand ?

And dont even compare to eb1desi... He is more intelligent then 100's of ur "in soups'" combined.

sajdelhi- another supid twin of iaminsoup and werinsoup ..... Man u idiots seem to be 4th graders suddenly hurled up on trackitt.....

Topic: Stop the Bailouts!!

Guys, though the Bailout will hit the Taxpayers pockets, the situatuon will be even worse if nothing is done. While I agree that the Big Guys at Wallstreet should not get any personal benefits from the bailout (like salaries, bonuses etc), the bailout will help prime up the sluggish economy. The Government with the Taxpayers money will buy the bad assets from the banks and financial institutions. This will put money in the economy and re-start it. Once the economy is back on tracks Govt wills ell the assets and get the Taxpayers money back.

I know it sounds fairy tale...but not doing anything now is even worse. Dow will continue to tumble every day......

USCIS cannot tell us to go back home because for any such thing to happen, the US Congress has to agree and pass some sort of "No more Immigration" kind of Bill. Its a bit hard to digest that they will pass any such bill though a Deep recession might lead to the Congress cutting down on the yearly H1B numbers.

Its nothing we can do right now rather than acting wisely on our parts. Assess your investments and pray they pass the bail out Bipartisan Bill. Though it will hit the taxpayers pockets, the situation will be much worse if nothing is done.

Topic: Is USA still attractive? Do u really need a GC?

A new Census Bureau report estimates that the USA only added about 0.5 million immigrants (both legal and illegal) in 2007, down from more than 1.8 million added in 2006.

we shud put this on website of NumbersUSA for crying out loud every minute how immigrants are eating US jobs.

Topic: Is USA still attractive? Do u really need a GC?

Although many think that economy of USA is connected to most other and therefore would not sink is not totally correct. Many other countries have already built a solid network with other growing economies and all have to understand that due to globalization, it is many to many relationship rather than USA to many and it hardly matters if one or half a dozen suffers

USA may heal to some extent but the economic shift has already begun and there are many developed and devloping nations who silently took over the reign and it just now a matter of declaration in public.

US is a capitalistic market and unless it proves to be a safe place to its market sharers, it is bound to suffer emptyness due to market shift and will sink hollistically...

I agree but those other economies are mostly Developed countries unlike Developing countries like India
